"Perfect location for shopping" Good location in the center of Bangkok. Clean but somewhat small rooms. The superior rooms are much larger if you need space. No free WIFI access but you can "buy time" at the front desk. Book the "hot deal" on IBIS website (1000 baht / night for us).

"Lovely Hotel - you will never regret" Ibis is a nice hotel / centrally located. We stayed for 5 nights, got a good deal on their website...all other websites were marginally expensive than the hotel website. Got instant confirmation. Our room was ready when we arrived. Front desk staff are very friendly. Rooms were good, not very big. Good water pressure in the taps. Room equiped with split a/c with individual control - no safe in the room. Breakfast was also good. Location is very good, remember to tell the taxi driver that the hotel is next to Century park hotel. Pratunam shopping area is about 10mins walk from the hotel.

"New hotel at shoestring prices" Here is a nice place for travellers on a shoestring - Ibis Siam is a new Accor property within spitting distance of great shopping and clubbing without being in the thick of the crowds and noise. Bought 3 room-nights at THB1000 or USD30 each (room only) from the hotel's website and was pleased as punch with the cosy, comfy room with ensuite shower/toilet. If you are in Bangkok for shopping and clubbing, but don't want to live like a backpacker, this is the place for you. The express bus service from Survarnabhumi BKK International Airport stops one block away at Soi Rangnam, and it is a cheap taxi ride to Pratunam's wholesale apparel markets (5 minutes, THB40, about USD1.50) and the popular MBK Mall (famous for bags and shoes at THB199, less than USD7 apiece), the brand new, upmarket Siam Paragon MegaMall and the bars and clubs at Sukhumvit-Nana (less than 10minutes, THB50, less than USD2). If you are not pressed for time, the bus stop in front of the hotel offers an even cheaper ride. At the hotel itself, front desk staff are friendly and helpful and the chambermaids keep the rooms spotlessly clean. The DIY expresso machine at the in-house cafe lets you have unlimited caffeine fix if you opt for the breakfast buffet, and there is a decent pasta and salad selection at the dinner buffet. A shop down the street offers a mean foot massage but if you are looking for spa services, hop over to the four star Century Park Hotel next door to be pampered. Ibis Siam is not for health buffs and families with kids as there is no swimming pool, in-house gym or babysitting services.

"Great value hotel" This Ibis hotel has only recently opened and is looking very new. The reception area and the restaurant are nice and stylish and the rooms are good as well. We were in room 423. It was larger than I had expected and the fittings were of a good standard. The room had tea and coffee making facilites as well as an empty bar fridge. The bathroom was fine as well but there is only a shower. The TV was ok with about 4 English channels. The staff were not overly warm but were efficent. The buffett breakfast was a little on the poor side and you can probably do better elsewhere. We paid only 825baht through the hotel website (US$22) which was a great bargain. Bangkok has a large number of hotels around this price which may appear to offer more frills but for the Ibis offers a much higher standard of service and has a much more professional feel throughout.
