Pleasant and convenient Our room was spacious, light and airy. A superior with 2 twin single beds. Apart from some bleached marks on carpet everything was clean and pleasant. It was a front room on 6th floor but very quiet area for a major city. We were not disturbed by noise in spite of all windows being open all night. Negative - this was not the room reserved for us. Confirmed as booked was a standard room with 2 twin beds - IBSENS TELL ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY TWIN ROOMS IN THIS CATEGORY(STANDARD) AND HAVE ADVISED THE BOOKING AGENT OF THIS MORE THAN ONCE. The standard double offered to us was very much smaller than the superior room taken. Breakfasts were very good and so was dinner at La Rocca. 4.0

"Very Nice" We stayed here for 3 nights in August, 2006. We found it to be very nice. Not fancy but typical of 3 star European hotels. Request a room on the back as the front can be very noisy late at night. We had a superior double on 6th floor. There is some need of maintnance in the hallways. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The Italian restaurant in the hotel La Rocca is not very good. Everything overcooked for dinner and no concern on waiter's part.

"Great Location, Great Staff" This hotel was booked for us by our hosts so we didn't know what to expect. The Ibsens was a very nice hotel in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Here are the pluses: 1) great and helpful staff, 2) fantastic breakfast, 3) fabulous location, near the Norrebro station and near the channel, and 4) free wireless internet access or use of their computer.

"Ibsens a Danish delight." My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay in Ibsens Hotel and we would like to recommend it to anyone who would like a central hotel at a reasonable cost in Copenhagen. 3 stars are well earned.Some rooms are bigger than others and it's a good idea to ask for a quiet room. Breakfasts are included and were very good.Lots of excellent cheese,pate,cold meats and delicious bread and pastries as well as piping hot coffee.all self service. Some good cafes and restaurants nearby and hotel is just a 5 minute(at most)walk from Norreport rail station which in turn is only 25 minutes from airport. Reception staff were very helpful and there is free use of Internet in the reception area.

"Great hotel with a BIG breakfast" Just back from a five day vacation in Copenhagen in this hotel. The previous reviews were all extremely accurate. So there's not a lot extra for me to add here. One thing I would reiterate - and drop a point for - is the fact that the 'grandlit' which we got was actually two single beds pushed together. I believe that a lot of hotels in continental europe do this, so it might be wise to confirm the bed you are getting is exactly what it says on the tin! Aside from that, the breakfast was fantastic and kept us fuelled for most of the day.
