"fantastic 5 star."
Just returned 2 days ago from this lovely hotel, this was the best hotel i have ever stayed in, we stayed in a Suite Banus and the room was out of this world with electronic blinds whihc once were opened the sea view was amazing. the staff were friendly our room was cleaned everday and the mini bar chacked everyday. We orginally booked into Gran Guadalupin in Marbella but changed our minds to here and so glad we did. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this is by far the best for a relaxin holiday. It isnt in the resort centre but a 10 min walk so finds you there in the lovely port, its not your typical Spanish holiday destination which made it extra special. would highly recommend it. any questions just ask?

"Great Hotel"
I have stayed in this hotel twice now and find some of the reviews very harsh. I have stayed in the deluxe junior suite which is beautiful the Sun terrace with the hot tub is out of this world and the room furnishings fantastic. When I stayed there in October they upgraded me from a superior double room to a superior junior suite for no extra cost. With reference to the undesirable customers there were a few -- there but that is not the hotels fault they cannot stop people booking the rooms. However this did not ruin my enjoyment as me and my girlfriend were quite happy with each others company and not really bothered what other people were doing as long as we were okay. So do not let people put you off this hotel it is in a beautiful area and puerto banus is a great place for a night out.

Great Hotel located nearby the Conference centre. Only 15 minutes walk into the old town of Marbella. Food and service excellent but you do pay for it. Drinks at the bar are quite expensive

Let me premise this by saying that my boyfriend and I both work for an airline and travel a lot and are used to staying at 5* hotels. So, with that said. This hotel is stunning. It is 5 minutes from Puerto Banus and 10 minutes from el casco antiguo-old marbella. The chaise lounges on the beach are good ones not the cheap plastic ones that always break, there is a waiter and bar on the beach and more importantly...the hotel is on the beach, waterfront which is not usually the case in this area. We stayed in a standard room and had a not-great view of the building next door but a slight side view of the ocean and we could hear the waves so clearly that we slept with the sliding doors open...very relaxing. The furniture is all beautiful asian style design. They give you the robes and slippers to use. The television is flat screen and can be turned to be watched from the balcony (which my boyfriend liked...) the furniture on the terrace was so nice that we wanted it! the lighting system is a little confusing to work...but interesting... the bathroom is also very nice but the shower had that european half glass door...so careful with the water! Food: We did not eat at the hotel...I wish we had. There is a really nice restaurant down the beach to the left towards Banus and it was wonderful, inexpensive, great food and a beautiful view. FYI we ordered ice to the room and it came with chips and peanuts which we thought were a nice touch...till we found out that the ice cost 4euros. but we figured we were even since we had our own beverages =) I fully recommend this hotel. Now, with that said...we also had a bit of a problem with the bill. We had booked it directly with the hotel and we were quoted 2 different prices for our stay because the hotel was booked, yadayadayada...ok that is fine...however, when I checked out I noticed that the price we paid was for a "superior" room...however, we stayed in a standard room so I inquired as to that...the girl at the front desk was REALLY nice and contacted the reservations person that had booked us...she told her that if we had stayed in the superior room then the price would be justified but we stayed in a standard so we should be charged accordingly. The price was fixed and that worked out well...so alls well that ends well. However, now having read the previous review I see that this is a trend. But, I still recommend this hotel...even if we had paid the more expensive price I still think it's worth it. I did see the larger rooms with the jacuzzis and while they are expensive if you can swing it...you really should...they were stunning. I hope this helps! Good luck!
