"Excellent Staff"
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March 2007. Upon arrival, my boyfriend and I were welcome by an extremely cheerful and sweet front desk staff. We stayed in a room on the club floor. The rooms are standard with nice down comforter and pillows. One side of the mattress is quite a bit more worn "down" than the other. The location is just outside of the historical center. Walking to the historical center takes about 25min (a little longer than you might want but there are nice buildings around--mostly residential). The Sbahn station (Renweg) is just 2-min away from the hotel meaning you can be anyway very conveniently. There are 2 tram lines, one running in front of the hotel, and the other right by the Sbahn station.
The facility and location might not be top-notch but the hotel won me over by the service. Every staff we encountered was courteous and warm. If you don't have to pay too much more, I highly suggest the club floor. The club lounge is open all day and always well stocked up with food--for free. Coffee, tea, beer, sodas, fruit, little snacks are always available. The breakfast is very nice. In the afternoon there are little cakes. There is a late-afternoon/pre-dinner offering of light food + cognac, whiskey, wine. The lounge also has a computer connected to the internet for free use. It's really well worth paying some extra for being on the club floor. I understand why all those business people seem to be so happy staying there.

"Wuderbar !"
Stayed a week there and wished we could have been there a month. Not as "centrally located" as you would think, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to St. Stephan Dome. But the neighborhoods and sights were always pleasurable. Staff was VERY attentive and the concierge level was so welcoming and accommodating ! Loved it all.
