"Worth it!"
The Carlton certainly lived up to our expectations. It is a stunning building, highly maintained and superbly staffed and this place certainly attracts the rich and famous - plus lots of photographers passing by! Check in was extremely personal and efficient. To celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary we were upgraded to a superior room and presented with a lovely chocolate cake and strawberries. The room was charming with a huge bed and luxurious bathroom amenities and toiletries. The breakfast room was beautifully light and airy and the buffet selection was ample and delicious. Food and drink prices were quite high – but wouldn’t one expect that in such a grand establishment?

"Vive la Croisette!"
We had the good fortune of spending one night here free of charge thanks to all the point we accumulated through the Priority Club.
We knew that the hotel was going to be spectacular from all the reviews we had read and we are happy to say they didn't disappoint! Quite often these grand old hotels can be snobby and stiff, but the Carlton had a very hip and happening vibe about it aswel as being a magnificent old building with superb decor!
We were allocated a double room on the side, so not with a view, but as it was for free what do you expect?!?! The room was very comfortable, especially the bed with luxurious bedlinnen; the green marble bathroom was splendid with all mod cons.
The service was perfect and the same level throughout.
One word of advice; It does help to pre-book a table for lunch on their beach restaurant as it is very popular and they don't keep spare tables for their hotel guests. I agree that it is a shame they charge hotel guests to use their beach sun beds, however it is the same for all the other hotels too on the Croisette.
We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and are definitely planning to return on a proper break, only next time we'll definitely have to foot the bill!

"Cannes' most prestigious hotel!"
This is the second time we have stayed in this Great Palace with its magnificent facade and elegant public areas, and despite we always stay in Grand Palace hotels all over Europe, Carlton is one of our favourite. Is more confortable than the palace hotels in major European cities and about location this is the place to be.
We have booked two sea view rooms for four nights to celebrate my parents 50th wedding-anniversary before we continue our holidays to Monte-Carlo's exclusive Hotel de Paris for another two nights, and to the Hotel Negresco in Nice for one more night. As we are priority club members we were upgrated to the 5th floor in two executive deluxe rooms with two small balconies and breathtaking views of the Bay of Cannes. The rooms were large, entitely renovated rooms, with elegant french style decor. They welcome my parents for their anniversarry with lovely flowers and champagne. Every day despite we had to pay for the hotel's beach we were there for few hours enjoy the sun. This is the place to be! The hotel's restaurant offers good tradional menus but mostly we love the terrace seating in the evening having a dinner or a drink. One night we had a lovely dinner at the famous La Palme d'Or restaurant which is located at the first floor of the Hotel Martinez. Lovely and luxurious hotel but to be honest we still prefer the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel, hopping to come back for holidays at the same place soon.
