"quite new" Intercontinental Citystars Cairo Hotel is quite new and has a very good standard of rooms and reception areas. The service from all staff was impeccable. Room service was a particularly reasonable and memorable experience. The only downside is that this hotel is a good 30 minutes of hair raising driving from the centre of Cairo so if your priorities are the ancient sites and Egyptian museum a more central hotel may be better.

"Amazing experience and stay in Cairo" I recently went for a week to Cairo to experience Egypt and its hiostory and culture. I stayed at the new Intercontinental Citystars in Heliopolis which was only 10 minutes from the Airport and 25 minutes to downtown Cairo and the Nile. This hotel is only about 10 months old and is adjacant to one of the largest shopping malls I have ever seen which made my wife very happy. The staff and service was excellent at this hotel and there was a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. There was a choice of rooms available and we opted for the poolside rooms whihc gave us a patio overlooking the impressive swimming pool. There are tennis courts and a fantastic gym and the staff informed me that they will have a spa opening by january 2006. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a top class hotel with a great attitude.
