"Fantastic, opulent"
Such a classic French hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was just perfect, overlooking Opera Garnier. The house maids were great, the room very clean and a large bedroom and even larger bathroom. I would stay here - it is fantastic - however, not for the budget traveler! I am sure there are a lot of other hotels in Paris that can offer awesome accommodation at a better price, but treat yourself and stay here. Great location and run with French efficiency. Go for it!

"Great freebie not so sure if paying full price!"
Great location, great service and very swarve (as you would expect). Stayed for 4 nights using priority club points built up from staying away with work.
Was in the classic room (obviously not going to give you any better for a freebie!) Room was small but perfectly fine for our needs as we were usually out and about exploring.
Staff were excellent and very helpful, concierge recommended a great restaurant called the Royal Madeleine which was a 10 minute walk.
Dined in the Cafe de la Paix the first night which was good but would say it was overpriced as I've had better food for less money! Though I suspect you pay for the surroundings as much as anything. Plus it is Paris which is a rip off of a city anyway!
Like the title of my review says, this was a brilliant hotel, lots of character, thought Paris was a great city considering I'd never fancied it before but having said that if I'd had to pay the 415EUR per night price as opposed to using rewards nights I'd be disappointed.
