Jason Prime Hotel Jason Prime Hotel Jason Prime Hotel

  Hotel Information

A stones throw away from Omonia Square....

The Jason Prime Hotel is centrally located just a stone’s throw away from the famous Omonia Square in Athens. A great starting point for discovering all the treasures that Athens has to offer!

Newly renovated in 2003 to modern standards and given a four-star rating, this conveniently located hotel in the heart of one of the world’s oldest cities has embraced all of the amenities that a guest would love to be welcomed with.
LOCATION

Nestled just meters away from Omonia square on a quieter side street; the Jason Prime Hotel appears to be giving a more upscale service than its neighbours, along with spacious rooms and beautiful decor. It is said by the Greeks and tourists alike that Omonia square is not to be missed-as when one goes to New York city, one should not miss Times square. Omonia square itself holds much archaeological history and is buzzing with lots of local colour and just meters out the door await many choices for exploring on foot from local restaurants and shopping, to The Acropolis, the archaeological museum, and the historical centre. The metro station is also just a few minutes walk away.

As a traveller to Athens, you would not be able to get much more central than this location. Omonia square is smack in the centre of Athens and is in the primary shopping area of the city surrounded by some of the most beautiful neo-classic buildings from the turn of the century.

The square itself was an archaeological site years ago until recently when it was covered up. The area still boasts the old-world charm of the Athens of yesterday and it is obvious when you step out the front door of the hotel.

The archaeology museum is just a 15 minute walk and the Acropolis can easily be reached by foot as well.

Additionally, the colourful and historical Plaka neighbourhood and Monastiraki area and flea market along with many other noteworthy sites are easily accessed by the central metro station of Omonia square which is just 150 meters away.

"We enjoyed this hotel"
We had a very good experience at this hotel. Location is colorful, but felt safe. The hotel is modern. Near Omonia square - about 3 blocks there and to metro. Not exceptionally touristy around the area - which you may or may not like. Great staff, good breakfast. Room had balcony and good sized bathroom. Minibar prices are very reasonable - 2 euro for a beer. There was certainly the cigarette smoke that you could smell in the hallways and lobby, but we could not smell in our room. I am sensitive to smoke, so sleeping in the room was fine, but certainly noticed outside the room. All of Europe seems to smoke, so you kinda get used to it unless right under your nose. Would certainly stay here again.

"Lovely Hotel"
The Jason Prime is a lovely hotel, very clean and nicely decorated and very comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Alexander the Great restaurant nearby is superb. The only thing not so nice is the sketchy location. The street it is on is kind of creepy but nearby is Omonia square, shopping etc.

"Enjoyed my stay"
This is a lovely hotel . The room was lovely, modern and spacious. It had a great balcony and bathroom with a tub. There are great restaurants nearby and it is convenient to get anywhere on the metro including the airport and port (avoid the taxis, if they don't avoid you first). The staff was nice and helpful and breakfast was great. Drawbacks are the neighbourhood, which looks bad, but we had no problems at all and the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Other than those I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

"Great Hotel"
If you were proposed to spend some nights at the Jason Prime, don't refuse, because: the hotel has great service, cheap prices, and is next to Omonia Square, considered part of Athens Downtown. The only disadvantage is its neighbourhood....not at all dangerous but creepy. I would advise everyone to visit it, it's a hot deal!

"very enjoyable"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel from Nov. 28th through December 3rd and found the accomodations and staff to be very pleasant and friendly. We travel quite abit and were very impressed with our experience and will definitely stay here again. We especially were pleased with Jerome (I believe his name) - he graciously helped us daily with our plans. We appreciated all the friendly atmosphere.

"In a word: excellent !!!"
Very good surprise .. We went to Greece to spend New Year 2004 in Athens and we were very pleased with the hotel: very clean, good break-fast, staff very friendly.. I will recommend. The only bug was the neighboorhood, but the proximity of Omonia square and all the major parts of Athens makes the difference.
