Hotel Kavalir is a beautifully renovated hotel, conveniently located near Highway D5 in Prague 5 district, within easy access of Prague city centre and Prague Ruzyne Airport. Andel neighbourhood, one of the most attractive shopping and business areas of Prague, is also close to Hotel Kavalir.

LOCATION

Hotel Kavalir is situated in peaceful Prague 5 district, next to the Highway D5 which runs from Prague into Germany. Kavalirka tram and bus stops are located in front of Hotel Kavalir, allowing you to reach Andel in 5 minutes and Old Town in 15 minutes. Plenty of sports facilities, including Golf Club Praha and tennis courts, are located within close proximity of Hotel Kavalir.

Andel is one of the most attractive neighbourhoods of Prague as well as an intersection point of the public transport links. One of the biggest shopping malls in Prague, Novy Smichov and two multiplex cinemas are located within easy reach of Hotel Kavalir. One of the important sights near Andel is the Bertramka Villa where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart stayed during his visit to Prague in 1787. Today the villa houses the Mozart Museum where a large number of documents related with Mozart’s life and work are displayed.

Mala Strana (Lesser Town), one of the oldest districts of Prague, is also within easy reach of Hotel Kavalir. Mala Strana features numerous Gothic buildings such as St. Nicholas Church, Church of Our Lady Victorious and Wallenstein Palace. Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square are within walking distance of Mala Strana.

"Fantastic Budget Hotel!"
I booked a cheap flight to Prague and decided that Hotel Kavalir would be a good budget base for my break: what a fantastic choice that was! Okay so it's not the Raffles in Singapore but for the price and location this hotel is impossible to beat! It's a couple of kilometres from the centre but public transport in Prague is fantastic and the trams stop at the Kavaliirka stop directly outside of the hotel - they run every five minutes and in less than 10minutes you will be in the heart of the action in the beautiful and wonderful city of Prague! My room was very spacious and clean and breakfast was functional but filling. In Prague as a whole English isn't widely spoken but you can muddle through and the Kavalir staff are very pleasant and helpful. Quick tips for tourists, get a weekly transport pass at the airport and then you can hop on and off the trams, bus and metro as often as you like: signs on the tram warn you to beware of pickpockets but I never saw any trouble and the city as a whole felt a very safe and happy place to be. A couple of tram stops from Kavaliirka is Motol, home to a lovely golf course, but also to the Motol park where for a very small fee you can relax and enjoy a staropramen in beautiful countryside listening to the bird song and enjoying idyllic Prague scenery - it also has a small and secluded naturist area if you wish to try that and I couldn't reccomend Motol highly enough. I will certainly return to Prague soon and will again be very happy to book the Kavalir!

"Excellent Location"
Just got back from to my first trip to Prague. Hotel nice and clean as everyone says, reception staff helpful. Tram 9 outside the hotel takes you straight to the town centre jounery appx 20 mins. A little noisy at night due to traffic passing by but thats the only fault. Well worth a visit in my opinion.

Kavalir Hotel is small but nice
The hotel itself is small, pleasant, attrasctive, clean and very confortable. I loved the fact that the rooms had electric kettles and tea/coffee making supplies.The breakfast room is very attractive and nice.The reception staff were pleasant & helpful.

Low cost, good value for money accommodation
Just back from four days in Prague, and would say it was enough time to do and see everything. Hotel was, as previously stated, a bit out of town. However, the tram stop was just outside the hotel and it costs approx fifty pence to get into the city centre. Hotel is basic, but clean; breakfast fine and the staff were helpful. I absolutely adore Paris, but Prague would be a strong contender!
