"A great welcome at the Kempinski Budpest"
My husband and I had the most delightful few days at the Kempinski Hotel in Budapest in February/March.
Our room, although a standard, was more like a suite with the most comfortable beds and the pillows were just heavenly.
Room service was most efficient on the one occasion we used it ,all of the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was the best we had seen since staying at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Concierge could not have been more helpful when asked to secure tickets for the ballet at The Opera House. We were thrilled to have seats six rows from the front bang smack in the middle, it was the high spot of our trip to Budapest. Many thanks to the delightful staff for making our trip so very enjoyable.

"If I had the money, I'd go back again!"
Being my girlfriends birthday, and our first Valentine's together, I thought I'd be a bit fancy, I couldn't have been more right!
We stayed 3 nights (as far as my budget could stretch) and loved every moment. On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff who checked us in, gave us a three minute - virtual - tour (via a map) of the city, recommended some nice places to eat and hot spots to see.
The room was fantastic, although I must admit, it's the first time I've stayed in a 5* hotel. View over the park and towards the Basilica was good. Bathroom was great, and lots of toiletries, towels, robes etc.
In the morning we plucked up the courage to sample to the pool and spa area which, again, was great. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we felt very comfortable - although watch out for the naked businessmen....
My only point of contention with the hotel is the price of food and drink. As has been pointed out in many of the reviews, the mini-bar is extortionate - but we just bought our own bottles in the local shops and made some space for them. The shock came when, on our last night and dying for a cup of tea, on return from a local restaurant we ordered two teas and found it came to nearly £10 - granted they were in fancy pots, with nice china..but P.G. tips and a mug would have been fine!
I and my girlfriend had a brilliant time in the city and the hotel was perfect for us, especially as the prices were reduced in February. |

"An excellent hotel"
We stayed in the Corvinus in early September, 2006. Outstanding hotel, though not exactly a value for fast-paced travellers simply looking for a place to rest their heads. Nonetheless, the location is superb, the spa outstanding, the rooms clean, and the staff friendly. For those in the market for a luxury hotel, we couldn't recommend this hotel more.

"Fantastic Hotel"
Have just returned from a superb weekend break with my husband & 2 teenage sons. Hotel service, amenties and rooms were definitely 5 star and the staff were so helpful. We booked our rooms through Easjet Hotels who offered a very good room rate which included breakfast. The location of the hotel is very central for all the main sights, is only a short stroll from the Danube and is close to the underground system, trams and buses. Would love to still be there!

Fantastic Hotel, Good Location
Stayed at the Kempinski in December, the location of the hotel was excellent with most of the main tourists sites within walking distance. The hotel was situated near to the winter markets, which offered various goods along with mulled wine and hot snacks from street stalls. The hotel was not far from the Danube and the Chain Bridge was an easy stroll.
The service at the hotel was excellent. After a late night on the town breakfast is definitely worth getting up for, with a good selection of hot and cold meats, eggs, fresh slamon, trout, mackerel etc, fresh breads and pastries, good selections of teas and coffees and to top it all even free champagne.
The service from the reception staff, bar and restaurant staff and concierge was excellent. Make time to speak to the concierge as he is a wealth of local knowledge and ensures that you will not be ripped off anywhere.
