The Kilfinan Hotel has been welcoming travellers since before the 18th century. The spectacular Highland scenery on the eastern shores of Loch Fyne and the peaceful, unhurried lifestyle of the area make it a perfect all year retreat. The hotel is set in its own 6,000 acre country estate and is approximately 45 minutes by car from Loch Lomond.

The hotel nestles in the ancestral lands of the Clans Lamont, Lachlan and McEwan, and has been welcoming travellers for over 300 years. It is a wonderful and scenic venue for weddings and the perfect place to hold any special event. Walking, clay pigeon shooting, live music, golf, fishing, deer stalking, bird watching are all available close at hand.

The ancient church of Kilfinan lies right next door to the hotel and has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, with a new heating system, flooring, stained glass windows and stripped pews. The church generates a feeling of warmth and ageless charm for a small congregation. If a service in the church is not for you, the Minister has been known to marry couples on the beach, the pier at Tighnabruaich and in our Lamont Room.

LOCATION

The Kilfinan Hotel is located on the Cowal Peninsula, by the Kyles of Bute, an Internationally recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in Argyll, Scotland by Loch Fyne and next to the ancient Church of Kilfinan.

Good walking country begins at the hotel door. Short walks to Kilfinan Bay or long hikes on the hills - both provide rewarding wildlife sightings and spectacular views.

* All public rooms are beautifully finished, cosy and comfortable with blazing log fires.

* The Lamont Room, where you can host your reception is also a very traditional room. There is a stage where your choice of music can be accommodated for a party or Ceilidh following the wedding breakfast, if this is your choice, however if you would simply prefer a meal, this can also be arranged.
