"Nice experience"
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kong Arthur. We were pleased with how spacious and elegantly decorated the Executive Queen room was. It contained a bathroom, large living room, and loft bedroom. The loft was very warm, but once we opened the roof vent, the room cooled off nicely. We enjoyed watching many TV shows in English on the 2 TVs in the room. The breakfast area was very nice, and offered a good variety of breakfast items. The parking lot was very small, but we were fortunate enough to get a spot for the length of our stay. Parking at the hotel is free. The hotel is a few blocks from public transportation. We appreciated how accurate the website directions were to the hotel. Overall, our time at the Hotel Kong Arthur was very enjoyable.

"Great weather for April"
Three nights in April with some very good weather for the time of year. The hotel states that it is 5mins away from the train station. More like 10 with bags. The lobby and communal areas are very nice with good places to sit and a very nice breakfast area. The Danish breakfast is very good with a wide choice. There is a courtyard in between the two parts of the hotel and is nice for sitting out. Our room 429 was supposedly a superior double althouth a bit tight around the bed. But it was fine. The shower room was a traditional wet room for the toilet gets wet when you have a shower. The funny thing was an angled mirror behind you when looking towards the sink. I’d didn’t think I was that grey! All in all not a bad hotel. It’s location isn’t the most convenient but quiet and as Copenhagen is small not too bad for getting around. No aircon.
The three restaurants linked to the hotel, but not owned by them are very good. The Sushi N Sticks is fantastic. Wine and beer in Copenhagen ’s bars and restaurant is very expensive being 40-50Kr (£4-£5) for a beer and about 250Kr to 300Kr for a ok bottle of wine (£25 -£30) so beware. Taxi to airport is 240kr and the train 28Kr. A nice city for a break.

"recommended stay overall"
The Kong Arthur Hotel was a very nice place to stay. The location was
ideal w/ the front of hotel facing the lovely canal/moat for walking or jogging. The hotel attendants were friendly and helpful at all times. The bar is open 24 hours which is a plus if you miss the breakfast and still need a cup of coffee or tea! The lounge has plenty of space to relax in a sun filled room and read the paper or wait for others to come down and meet you. It's also located right outside the city center, only about a 15 minute walk. Shopping is abundant! BUT EXPENSIVE! Copenhagen is costly, so I wouldn't expect to find any real bargains in any designer shops. We stayed for 4 nights, in a Superior Double room which is much bigger than the the other rooms. If you have the opportunity to book the superior for 10 quid, do so...there's tons of extra space this way. The decor is a bit dated, but clean, and I think serves their intended purpose of a medieval viking theme. However, it remains light and airy....plenty of sun through the windows. Breakfast served was phenomenal, among the best I've had in hotels. Pastries, 4 types of breads, cheeses, cereal/muesli/granola, yogurt, fresh veggies, cold meats, and soft boiled eggs! Overall a good stay

"Charming hotel"
July,2003 We had a lovely stay at the Kong Arthur. The room was smallish but functional. The hotel is charming and in a lovely residential area, yet close to the metro and city. There are three restaurants located in the hotel. We ate at the Japanese,Sticks and Sushi ,and La Roca, Italian. They were very good. The breakfast buffet is excellent and you can sit inside or out in the garden area. A standard double was $160 including tax and VAT.
