Great Choice
We loved our Nantes' Kyriad. It was a 5minute walk from the station and had 2 excellent restaurants on the street and a beautiful souvenir store. The room had superior quality for the price. It was large, quiet, good tv channels with BBC and CNN, a refrigerator, large window and decorated quite nice. I'd stay there again. The only negative was one item on the huge breakfast buffet that we had to pay 13 Euros for. The scrambled eggs were POWDERED and totally disgusting. There was so much on that buffet that was superior in quality, like many tea flavors, variety of cheeses and meats, many flavors of classy jams/jellies and yoghurts etc. Why they had those awful eggs is beyond me but it made me mad because I was tired of typical buffets and yearned for normal scrambled eggs.

"Everything I Wanted in a Hotel"
This is France's answer to the USA's Hampton Inns: Clean, new, and reasonably priced. Great location for rail travelers, too -- just walk across the street from the station and you're there. The old city area, where numerous restaurant choices can be found, is an easy 10 minute walk -- or take the tram that runs in front of the hotel. The hotel is air conditioned (a must), but all of the adjustments are performed from the front desk (first time I've seen this but makes sense).
