"One of the best budget hotels available!" A well priced hotel (shop around for deals!) in an excellent location (Place D'Italy) surrounded by dozens of cafe's and coffee shops and immediatley close to the metro the location would be hard to beat on this budget. The staff at this hotel are it's biggest asset. We only stayed for two nights, but both the day and the night staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We actually sat drinking in the hotel bar until 5am on one of the mornings as were having such a laugh with the night porter/barman. The rooms are small in this hotel, but, remember the architecture and the period that the builidng was built in and you will understand why. I travel quite extensively in europe and found the rooms to be undersized even by european standards, the ameriancs would be shocked! Set your expectations, this is a quailty hotel in an excellent location, the rooms are small but lets face it, no one goes to paris to watch telly and eat room service in the hotel room, please don't be put off by this. The beds are comfortable the furnishings are stylish and the rooms are air conditioned, what more do you need. If you are going to stay over the weekend, make sure you check out the local market on Place D'italy in the morning. A really 'french' experiance. I would recommend this to anyone although would only feel comfortable doing so as long as they understood about the room sizes. I would definatley stay again and again and again. It's rated 3 star but i'm sure this just takes into account the 'comfort' factors, when you consider the staff as well then you get a truely 5 star expriance at 3 star prices.

"What more do you need?" This was my 6th stay in Paris and once again I decided to choose a different hotel because I never found one I wanted to return to. Until I checked into La Manufacture! Definitely an excellent hotel and I highly recommand it to every Paris tourist. As other users pointed out, the rooms are tiny, or let´s say compact, but cosy. The furniture and decoration are nice, if not stylish. The staff was extremely helpful and charming. We also had breakfast which I found excellent - and I´ve seen quite some "breakfasts" in Paris hotels... A note on the surrounding: It is just a 2 minute walk to the metro station Place d´Italie as well as to one of the main streets of this arrondissement Rue des Gobelins. There are plenty of restaurants and shops and - if you feel like - go and see a film at the cinema. Some of the films are shown in the original version with French subtitles and the ambiance there is nice as well. All in all, a pleasant and comfortable hotel with very good value. I will certainly return.

"Loved this hotel" Hotel La Manufacture is a small, sweet botique-style hotel. For the money, you can't go wrong. It's located a bit away from the main Paris toursty stuff, but we kind of liked that. After a day of beating the pavement, you can take a short metro ride back to a neighborhood where people actually live and eat. The rooms were a good size for Europe and the hotel was clean. We'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.
