"good"
Lagos De Cesar Hotel Tenerife overall was very good. staff helpful and very friendly , maid service could not be faulted rooms cleaned every day and towels changed daily. nice big rooms , nice large balcony we were lucky to overlook the sea and pool, but all around the area at side and back of hotel building work was in progress work starts at 7.30 till 5.30 sometimes later depending on work. The resort is good but not a great deal to do at night and not suitable for infirm as very hilly . there is a lovely walk along the coast to Los Giantes and recommend hiring a car and going up to Mount Tedie through the nationel park . overall a good holiday.

"spotless"
Lagos De Cesar Hotel Tenerife rooms are spotless and we were lucky enough to have a pool view, yes there were still cranes and building work going on but it really did not disturb us in any way.At the pool side there was plenty of sunbeds. The resteraunt was buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a choice of sitting inside or out, breakfast was a choice of cooked(eggs, bacon, omlette, sausage, beans)fruit, croissants, cereal toast, there was fruit juice and coffee,we ended up buying a jar of nescafe and taking it in with us and just using the hot water, lunch and dinner was achoice of meat fish, salad, not piping hot,but considering the amount of people and countries they came from everyone was catered for.

"Enjoyed our stay"
My wife and I spent a week at the hotel in July 2006. We thorougly enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel is advertised as a 4 star it really is a good 3. However the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was effective and the beds comfortable. Only problem was a lack of additional pillows. The bathroom was OK if a bit on the small side. The Buffet breakfast gave a good choice with plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, cold cuts and cereals for the health concious as well as a variety of ways to really enjoy the start to a day on holiday including bacon sausage and eggs with toast and jam. Guests at the hotel were from all over Europe inclding mainland Spain as well as the UK Germany and France and the competition for sunbeds was fierce. We avoided this challenge altogether but you do have to be up early to get one by the pool. The staff in the hotel coped well with all the languages and seemed to know the answers to all the queries that guests put to them. A note of caution for those who travel to Puerto Santiago in the second and third weeks of July when the local people celebrate the Fiesta in honour of Carmen de la Virgen during this period and the hotel is close to the plaza where most of the evening entertainments are held. This generates a lot of noise well after midnight but if you are enjoying the bands and dancing in the plaza then you will not really be disturbed. There is something on every night and there are fairground rides as well. Puerto de Santiago with Los Gigantes and Playa de Arena are three resorts that have merged into one but still retain some of their own identiies. We prefer to eat out every night and there is a great choice of restaurants along the Avenida Maritime. There is a large choice available with Mexican, Chinese, Italian, German Austrian, Indian and British menus available as well as Spanish and Canarian. The most romantic settings with stunning views over the ocean and harbour are in old Puerto Santiago. Our favourites were Casa Pancho by the beach in Playa de Arena which has great service wines and food. Don Carmelo opposite the Plaza gardens (on the fist floor) offers a great range of pizzas and other Italian meals. View is wondeful over the ocean and the staff (all family) are very friendly. Chinatown II has big portions!! so don't over order even though the food is really good. Getting about the island is easy on the Guagua (local name for buses) especially the 325 to Puerto de la Cruz which takes you up and into the clouds on its way over part of the Teno mountains Spectacular views and windy roads make this a day out on its own even before the attractions of make the journey even more wothwhile.

"Good all inclusive hotel"
We stayed at the Hotel Lagos de Ceasar in August, there is still building work going on at the back of the hotel, but it was very quiet and didn't disturb our holiday! The hotel itself was also having a bit of a spruce up and as such there was no air conditioning in the resturant area. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean the staff were excellent the rooms were very big with a sitting room as well as bedroom and kitchen area with fridge (no cooking facilities) Pool area was lovely again clean and there are two roof terraces for extra sun bathing. We went all inclusive and the food was very good although could get a bit repetitive, drinks were good - local beer is very drinkable! and wine wasn't too awful either. The only prblem is the pool bar is open until 8pm so if you want a drink before dinner it has to be by the pool in a paper cup! The main bar has entertainment which left a bit to be desired in the begining but got better towards the end of the week and finished by 11pm, so early nights. We hired a car and went to the national park, to a few towns, and also Whale watching on the glass bottom boat - which I highly recommend we saw lots of whales and dolphins! The resort is really lovely but quiet not for the party animals! Los Gigantes is nice too. I would recommend the hotel we had a lovely time although I would recommend getting a car as there isn't a lot to do in the surrounding area and the island is lovely!
