"the boat house" having just spent a weekend in the boathouse i had to write to say that it was fantastic.the views, the swans,the squirrels everything about it was lovely.as for the bathroom being to small i just wonder where some people think they are going to magic the space from?both me and my wife found it great i even had trouble getting her to leave the room to go sight seeing! the service in the hotel itself was fantastic and the food perfect and the walk back to the room in the dark was fun!!after a few drinks.

"Excellent Location, Fantastic staff" My wife and I got married at the Langdale Chase in Dec 2005. The location was perfect and the views were stunning. We stayed there from Friday to Sunday, and from the minute we arrived there, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lot of character, and all the rooms are very individual and tastefully decorated. We had a party of 30 who stayed in the hotel with us, so we used the Oak room for our wedding breakfast which the hotel arranged beautifully. The day itself was perfect and the staff were all very professional and helpful without being obtrusive. The food was excellent and the wedding cake which the chef made at our special request was superb. Overall, our weekend at the Langdale was a wonderful experience.

"Loved everything about it" Having just returned from here this afternoon I felt I must say how wonderful everything about this hotel was. I was travelling alone for a short break and found all the staff could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, but at the same time they were not too intrusive. The food and dining room service was second to none, the choice for dinner was plenty and varied and on both nights I had to resort to using a pin to select my dessert. On the third night I decided to try the bar meal and once again was not disappointed. My room was overlooked the lake and the views are to die for. It was exceptionally clean and I could fault nothing. I will have no hesition in recommending this hotel to friends and work colleagues, will be back again later this year and am already arranging to take my daughter back there this time next year.
