"Chic, modern property"
The hotel was booked by my husband's company and initially we were disappointed that we were not staying at one of the larger well-known hotels in HK but once we checked in and saw the room, we were Lanson Place converts! For HK, the rooms were a good size and also extremely clean. The furniture and finishings were all modern, tasteful and a cut above many five star establishments that we've stayed in. I'm sure it helped the hotel is very new so everything seemed to be immaculate. Location was also good, close to MRT and shopping. I did find the airconditioning a bit on the cold side but we preferred that to not having it work. Altogether we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose the hotel again.

"Highly Recommended"
We stayed here early in November to attend a trade fair at the Exhibition Centre . We chose the hotel because it offered good rates and was recommended by the HKTDC. I also prefer to stay in Causwaybay. The position of the hotel was excellent- really near all the shops and only a HK$30 taxi ride to the Expo. There is no restaurant in the hotel but a huge selection of every food- style a short walk from the hotel The concierge staff were so helpful and helped us make a booking at an Indian restaurant, which was our choice that night. All the staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We upgraded one level in quality and were glad we did as the room would have been too small for two otherwise. The bed was very comfortable and a request for firmer pillows was instantly responded to. Very efficient wireless and cable broadband was free. The bathroom is beautiful and the shower wonderful but no privacy as the walls were all glass. A small kitcenette area with microwave and sink meant heating up food was easy. Fresh bottled water was delivered every day. A buffet continental breakfast included and served in the lounge was very good though perhaps a little uncomfortable eating in the low chairs. A free library of DVDs to play on the DVD in your room. A flat screen TV was on the wall above the desk so one working on a laptop and one wanting to watch TV was difficult. The wardrobe configuration made it difficult to get things in and out of it. The clean, modern rooms were serviced daily and everything worked well. On the whole the stay was excellent and I will certainly stay here again if I can get a good rate.

: "BEEEEYOOOTEEEEFUUUUULLLLLL....... =)"
I stayed in this hotel for just one night as I had extended my stay in Hong Kong at the last minute and wanted to try a hotel on Hong Kong island itself (usually I stay at Kowloon side).
I must say I TOTALLY regret not booking this hotel in the first place.
It is beautiful, in a chic modern way. The location is good as it is just a very short walk to SOGO and thus the Causeway Bay MTR station which would link you to the rest of Hong Kong. The lobby and dining areas are just a delight as too the 'library' area at the bar.
The staff here were phenomenal. They were friendly and actually came across as being very sincere in their warmth. Extremely helpful concierges and reception staff. I cannot praise their staff enough. They were really good.
The room itself was pretty with full length windows giving fantastic views from the 18th floor. I had the standard room but it seemed more like a junior suite with a separate living and bed area.
There was a useful, fully-equipped kitchenette with complimentrary drinks and snacks. The internet access was free too and was extremely fast and reliable. There were TWO LCD TVs. ONe at the foot of the bed and one at the living area. TWO DVD players were also provided. Guess there's no reason to fight over the remote huh...
The only 'Problem' I had was the toilet. It was very chic and contemporary BUT it was all clear glass walls!! No privacy there. I wouldnt have minded if they were frosted but these literally exposed you to everyone. One had to stay at the bed side of the room (thankfully away from the bathroom area) while the other was in there esp if on the throne. Not exactly a sight you want to see of your friend....
But other than that, I saw no flaws in this hotel at all. I only wished I had stayed there longer. Well worth the money.

"Enjoyed the Lanson"
I stayed at the Lanson as a last minute stay and found the hotel a nice place to stay. The room was larger than most I have stayed in Hong Kong and was very comfortable. It has cooking facilities so was easy to order takeaway food and heat up at a later stage. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. The staff were friendly and attentive. You will need to go out for meals as there is no restaurant however there are plenty of places nearby to eat so this was not a problem.

"Great Place and Location"
Just opened this year. Clean and as my Brit friends would say, quite smart! Very sophisticated but not stuffy at all. Lots of indivdual style, think modern Ritz Carlton. Rooms have great views above the 15th flr, a ton of restraunts and a major mall nearby. Lots of nightlife too. This was arranged on the last minute due to confusion in layover in HK but couldnt have been happier. Pricing is totally fair for all you get. Location is about 10 - 15 minutes from Central area.
