"Comfortable 4* Hotel - Expensive Wireless Internet!!"
Business stay from Sept. 7-17th....so I am still staying there as I write this. Pleasantly surprised by the expanse of the parking area...the hotel is also weirdly spread out across multiple buildings. Rooms are cosy/small (pretty standard for Netherlands)...rooms have a TV (with a wakeup system which triggers 28 mins late than what it is set for). Plush robe and fruit basket on arrival (my colleauges staying for 4 days did not get the basket). Morning breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant is pretty good though a bit expensive. The staff is very helpful - one of them even printed a route trip for our weekend jaunt to Leeuwarden!! The hotel is very nicely located...in a quiet neighbourhood and on a roundabout so it is a great place to catch the afternoon/evening beer while watching the traffic and people. The rooms lack airconditioning which was a pain the initial few days when it was hot at night. When it grew colder, the heating system was not very helpful, i doubt if it was even working...but the cotton robe kept me nicely warm. Wireless/wired internet is there but it is EUR17 per day from 14:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs the next day....I never used it...Fitness access is EUR 13 per day with personal trainer.. The hotel is literally 5 mins walk away from Hilversum-Sportpark train stations and is walking distance to a plethora of downtown restaurants. Overall, I am enjoying the stay but given the internet worm I am, I feel very isolated....
