"Very nice European hotel"
My colleagues and I stayed at this property for 3 nights. My room had an excellent view of the lake. For a European hotel, the room was fairly big. Bathroom: I had 2 toilets; one inside the main bathroom, a bidet. The other one was right next to the front door, a little water closet. My bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower, very opulent. There is a heated towel bar - very nice for after the shower. There is a little intercom within the bathroom so you can hear whatever is going on in the TV. The bed: My bed had two comforters, and was very comfortable. The room: Had a nice writing desk and has a plasma TV. There is no iron. My room had this pants presser contraption that did not really work. If you want to have your clothes washed or pressed, it is pricey. There is a turn-down service every single night and my room was very well-maintained by the housekeeping service. I did not take advantage of the spa, but heard it was great. The noise level was also pretty good. I slept very soundly. For those of you who rented cars, be aware that there is a 75CHF/day charge for the hotel to park your car. I did not ask before hand and was very surprised to see how high it was on my bill. Ouch! The hotel is situated in a great part of town. It is fairly close to shops and restaurants. All within walking distance. The staff is excellent and very helpful - especially the concierge. I want to recognize one of them here - Matthew - he's from Canada. Please note the following things: The price per night for the hotel is high, if you're going to stay here, I strongly recommend taking advantage of whatever the hotel has to offer: spa, restaurants, etc. -- otherwise, why bother? It wouldn't make sense to stay here if you're only going to sleep in the hotel room. The hotel elevator is fairly small - not US size. So please keep this in mind. 3 people without luggage will fit. If you have luggage, it will be a tight fit for the 3 people. If you're thinking of walking to the shops, restaurants, etc.. please wear good walking shoes. There's some places where you have to climb uphill and some areas have cobblestone steps.

"Beautiful Palace"
My daughter and I stayed here for 4 days from March 20-24, 2005. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a lake view room with a balcony which was absolutely beautiful. Our room was perfect, the bathroom is beyond description. They had every possible Aveda product and they were re-stocked twice a day. The staff in the bars and restaurants could not have been more attentive to us. The spa treatments were the best. I had a back problem and they gave me an appointment with a physical therapist. Afterwards, I had absolutely no pain - it was amazing. The breakfast (included with the room) was delicious. It was a fantastic buffet. We will return again without a question. I also must say that they went out of their way to make sure we had reservations at wonderful restaurants (and not expensive ones but fun ones for a teenager). Just great!

"Pure Bliss!"
The Lausanne Palace was extraordinary. From the housekeeper to the concierge and front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant - every person was eager to make our stay memorable - and they did. The room overlooking the city was superb and the bathroom was out of this world. The rooms were engineered efficiently and were spacious and immaculate. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling around Lake Geneva.

"Royal Treatment!!"
If you are ready for the royal treatment, then check into this hotel. After a stressful 6 month period at work I decided to take a long weekend to pamper myself and drove to Lausanne in August 2005. It was just wonderful. The staff greeted me at the door, took my bags to my room and parked my car. They were very friendly. Even though I made no spa appointments, the staff accomodated me with treatments. The spa was great. You should try the foot reflexology and hot stone massage. Both put me to sleep. The only down side was that it would have been nice if the spa had its own restaurant so you could eat in your robe if you wanted to take a meal directly before or after your treatment. The hotel restaurant served dinner a little too early for me, So I ate each night in the bar restaurant....Excellent FOOD there. I would definatley visit Lausanne again!
