Laxmi Vilas Palace was built in 1887 for Raja Raghunath Singh, the younger brother of the then ruler of Bharatpur, Maharaja Ram Singh.In 1994, this family home was converted into a hotel. At Laxmi Vilas Palace you can relive the history of Bharatpur, feel the warm hospitality extended to you by our present generation living in the Palace. From the kitchen, the royal family personally supervises the preparation for the extensive A La Carte Menu, offering you true flavors of Rajasthani continental and local dishes. From the courtyard to newly refurbished rooms, the true old style manner is preserved throughout. The lively fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture as well as "Brij" culture is still preserved.
