"Stylish hotel with great food"
We stayed at this stylish small hotel in July for a week, and had an excellent time.
Travelling with our son we had rooms 04/05 which are two connected rooms, each with their own bathroom, overlooking the terrace gardens. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms decent, though not lavish. Very 'French'.
The hotel has a large swimming pool which catches the sun all day and provides a very agreable place to relax. Alongside the pool they put on an excellent buffet lunch.
Whilst breakfast is a bit disappointing, dinner was superb. We hadn't intended to eat at the hotel every night but the food was so good we couldn't resist it. The main courses are good (though on a hot day you often don't want to eat so much) but the starters were very good and the desserts 'historic'. Life is too short to stuff a strawberry but if someone else is doing the work it's a great treat. The white chocalate and strawberry sorbet lollipop was amazing.
The wines are not surprisingly predominantly local, and the sommelier guided us to some very good ones, most of which you won't come across back home.
Interestingly we were the only UK guests the whole week. Most guests were French, with a few overnighters from Japan and the US. Unlike some places (i.e Portugal which we've just returned from) you do feel genuinely abroad, which to us at least is a big plus.
We were woken two mornings running - first by a helicopter landing on the lawn and then by a hot air balloon being inflated. Annoying but the hot air balloon in particular looked fabulous and was worth getting up to see.
We visited Villandry, Azey-le-Rideaux and Chenonceau during the week. A-l-R is very pretty, Villandry has a marvellous garden and Chenonceau is spectacular. The last two really worth a visit.
Also worth a visit is the Chateau de Luynes (in the local village). This is a 'working' chateau used by the owners for hunting parties and makes an intersting change from the museum pieces that are the traditional Loire chateau.
Service was good and English is spoken though as in the rest of France an attempt to speak the language is appreciated - and results in better service.
For cyclists they have many bikes for guest use.
All in all a very pleasant small, comfortable and stylish place to stay.
The same group owns a number of similar hotels and we have stayed in their Chateau de Gilly in Burgundy, and we'd really recommend a stay their if you are in the area.

"C'est Magnifique!"
We recently stayed two nights at Domaine de Beauvois while touring the Loire Valley. Although it is a bit off the beaten chateau-track, we came to appreciate this after seeing how crowded Amboise, Bloise and Tours were on a beautiful spring weekend. Our room overlooked the the front entrance and was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was generously sized -- with two sinks -- and the shower did not flood the entire bathroom when turned on. The grounds surrounding the hotel are lovely and guests are able to use bicycles to take rides on wooded trails near the hotel. We had dinner both nights at the hotel. Their prix-fixe menu was delicious and well priced. One night we had our apperitif on the outdoor patio outside the dining room. Two small wedding parties were also outdoors for THEIR "cocktail hour" and they dined in private dining rooms off the patio gardens. The sommeliers -- who could not have been more than 25 -- recommended some good local wines, and the young lady who served us could not have been more delightful. Domaine de Beauvois was lovely and comfortable and unpretentious ... and had the friendliest staff in the Loire Valley!

"Excellent choice"
Thanks to (once again) tripadvisor, we decided to stay at this "relais du silence".
The whole atmosphere was great. Beautiful park, lake and pool. The hotel itself is very confortable and very nicely decorated.
Big room and bathroom (we could not believe it after our stay in saint germain du pres hotel in Paris), very neat and tastefully decorated.
In spite of being cold outside, the heating worked perfectly well.
Nice staff.
Outstanding restaurante.
Near all major attractions.
Just one advise: dinner is quite expensive, buffet breakfast is very espensive (21 euros each person) but they have one "formula": coffee, orange juice and croissant for 10 euros.
Be warned that there are no places to eat close to the hotel and the usual is to have dinner between 7.30 and 9.00.
