LOCATION
Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort Hotel is located on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates. Home to many exotic species of fish, the coral reefs off the coast of Fujairah offer divers and snorkelers the ultimate underwater experience. The town's beautifully clean shell covered beaches are an idyllic setting for sun worshippers in search of peace and relaxation.
Many tour operators organize four wheel-drive expeditions to take intrepid travelers wadi bashing through the dried riverbeds, passing hot springs and picturesque waterfalls along the way.

"Perfect for Rest & Relaxation"
We have just returned from 10 days at this lovely hotel, following a hectic 4 days in Dubai and it proved to be the perfect oasis for R&R. An imaginatively designed hotel with a backdrop of mountains and the beach lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
The hotel offers every amenity for a beach holiday from a diving centre (which also offers snorkelling trips), the relaxing spa, to organised activities around the pool for those who wish to be a little more active, such as water volleyball or aqua aerobics. This hotel would suit couples or families providing they did not want entertainment outside the hotel complex. I would add however that there is a courtesy shuttle bus into Dubai twice a week and a regular courtesy bus into Fujairah.
There are a wide variety of restaurants available, although our particular favourite was the award winning “Taste” Thai restaurant.
There is high staff to guest ratio and they were all extremely courteous and helpful, able to converse with the guests in several languages. The rooms are spacious and kept scrupulously clean and the sea view balconies are an added bonus in all but the standard rooms.
Even at weekends when the hotel becomes busier there are still plenty of sun beds available around the pool and more than sufficient staff to cope with the additional guests.
We have been regular visitors to the U.A.E for the last 20 years, staying in a number of excellent hotels, but this ranks amongst the very best and are now counting the days until we return to the Al Aqah.
