"Any food in the hotel was very overpriced"
Great location between the upper and lower towns. Hotel was generally pretty good; very clean and tidy, well decorated and furnished. The room had no fridge (a must for travellers these days), but did have a dreaded mini bar full of overpriced stuff and which was hyper sensitive. Any food in the hotel was very overpriced.

"will stay there on our next trip"
The room was large, quiet and very comfortable. The room decor was modern and welcoming. Proximity to the Grand Place and the restaurant area (Petit rue de Bouchers) is ideal, just a short, pleasant walk. We’ve stayed at several hotels in Brussels, but this is by far the best and we will stay there on our next trip.

"2 nights in Brussels"
My wife and I have just returned from 2 nights (Friday & Saturday) in Brussels staying at the Le Meridien. (The stay was booked on SPG hotel points so was "free".) The hotel lived up to all our expectations in that: - it is located directly opposite the central station so was very easy and cheap to reach. (Tickets from the airport are 2.80 euros per person for a single ticket). The train takes about 20 mins and there a about 4 an hour so no need for a taxi. The trains are clean and smooth (which was a nice change from the poor service commuting in London) - Room: we had a room over looking the station on the 4th floor. The room was an ok size, not massive but large enough for us to spread out and be comfortable. The room was clean and had a flat screen tv, mini bar etc. We don't drink tea/coffee so i can't comment on the type of milk (which i know has been a worry for some other reviewers on here!). My wife was particularly pleased about the hair dryer which was 'better than the one at home' - not sure if this was a hint or it was good (the hotel had a Bablysis? professional). I liked the safe which was a modern electronic version so all our precious items could be kept locked away. - Check in/ out: was very easy and efficent. The 4th floor was updated last year so we were pleased to have been put on it and it was very smart. - Bus Tour: we took a bus tour from opposite the hotel, there are 3 to choose from and you don't need to speak to any of the sales people wandering about, just walk onto the bus and pay the driver. We went on the blue bus (sorry can't remember the name) and it was good with an English commentary and a route that took in all the main locations. We did not eat at the hotel as there are so many places locally. Local attractions: beer, beer and more beer! The Grand Place is 2 mins walk round the corner and has lots of side streets and eaterys which are well worth exploring. There is plenty of shopping but many of the same shops down the main drag (we counted 4 H&M for example). Shopping is not as cheap as some European countries but about the same as the UK. In summary i would recommend this hotel for a short stay. It is a perfect city centre hotel as a stop spot to go do other things.

"Fantastic Hotel !"
Great hotel with a fantastic location and service. We got upgraded to a junior suite that was simply amazing. Breakfast is quite expensive but you can easily find somewhere outside the hotel at a vey reasonable price. I would recomend everyone to stay in this hotel and don't miss the EXKI restaurant chain.

"Great Hotel, Great Location!"
We spent 5 nights at the LeMeridian and had a wonderful time. Hotel is very nice and has all the amenities. Beautiful artwork on every floor. They have a nice business lounge with internet access to check e-mail. Staff was very helpful, as well. Hotel is directly across from the train station. Made it easy for us to travel on to Brugge, and then later on the Thalys to Paris. Also only a few blocks from Grande Place, one of the nicest town sqares in all of Europe. Highly recommended!

"Home from Home"
regularly stay at le Meridien Brussels and find it a far more relaxing, friendly and value for money hotel than it's sister hotel in Paris. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Vincent the barman, the decor is warm and welcoming and is conveniently located close to the Grand Place and some lovely restaurants in rue de Bouchiers. The Central Station is across the road which provides a quick train link to the airport and there are several buses which stop outside. For good food and bars, take a right turn out of the hotel and under the arch, turn right and you come to a small square with restaurants reasonably priced and good quality. If vintage cars and planes are your bag, take the Metro to Merode and head for the wonderful arch there and you will find a museum either side, one with cars and one with planes going back a hundred years. Couldn't recommend staying here highly enough - can't wait for my next visit!

"Best hotel location in Brussels"
Le Meridien rates 5 stars for location & facilities. Staff service lax on occasion, but mostly fine. All top attractions for a Brussels tourist are in walking distance or only slightly farther away. Hotel is clean & well maintained. Internet rates are best available as far as I could tell. It's just a few blocks to Grand Place, and a few more to Huge restaurant area covering several blocks.

"Excellent hotel in excellent location"
We booked this on a deal from Eurostar that was so cheap we were almost too embarrassed to walk through the door! We stayed 6 nights. For train travellers it's in an excellent location directly opposite Gare Centraal. Our room overlooked the station but efficient double glazing and air conditioning meant that we heard no traffic noise. The room was a good size and comfortable - for business travellers it even included a desk with 2 chairs plus a comfy chair with large footstool. Large TV too with English-speaking channels. Staff even called on us during the week to check that we were happy with the cleaning of the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed the first week in August - which is when many natives leave the city so the hotel restaurant was closed that week (but plenty other excellent restaurants in the area were open). The Novotel and Ibis are just at the back of this hotel, as is the Dixseptieme, so plenty of choice in the area.
