"Great Place to Stay"
We stayed at the Le Meridien Garden Beach for 4 nights in September. There's a carpet along with aluminum white waves that line the entrance after the valet stand, 'celebrity-like'. Parking is a little tricky. If you valet, its 20 EUR, even if you park your own car, the parking is 20 EUR. We found free parking along the park after driving around a few times. The check-in personnell were not as friendly as I had hoped for this caliber hotel. The lobby was nice, and we were invited to go to the bar while our room was being cleaned. It took over two hours. Once in our room, (217) we were disappointed because our view was of the cement courtyard. The room itslef was very nice. They delivered water, hermes cologne, and bathrobes to our room. very nice touch. Julia at the front desk was always cheerful and helpful. The Beach was nice and very clean. You will need to reserve your chair a day in advance in order to get a good spot. 1st row and the deck chairs were 20 eur a day. we were just fine on the second and third row (free). We didn't order much from the bar as everything was extremely expensive. 22 euros for 2 vodka tonics. There is a grocery store a few blocks from the hotel that sells everything, including liquor at reasonable prices. We bought baguette bread, cheese, and salami for lunch, and spent our money on dinners. lots of cute restaurants to choose from. Juan les Pins was a nice little beach town. very different than Nice or Cannes. It has a healthy night life and there's a casino right next door to the Hotel.
