"we loved the stay!"
We loved Le Meridien Vienna Hotel's location and the ambience. The Concierge team was excellent at getting us some tickets for the evenings etc. The only improvements I would recommend is more PC access and my non-smoking room definitely smelled of smoke on occasion. Otherwise, we loved the stay!

"interior was interesting"
Le Meridien Vienna Hotel's interior was interesting and made it feel exciting. One very small remark was on the breakfast. The level of the egg cooker was not the best and I think it can be improved quite easily.

"excellent hotel"
This was a contemprary and excellent hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and had comfortable beds. THey usually allow only three people in the room, however we were able to have our two children in the same room (6 and 9 years). They were kind enough to agree and also let us check in early (10am). Teh location is central on the ringstrasse and is convenient to all sights. Will definitely go there again.

"Fantastic Hotel"
We stayed in this hotel from the 1st to the 7th August for our Wedding Anniversary. I can honestly say this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Attention to details is fabulous. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel cost of taxi was €35. We arrived at 12 O'Clock 2 hours before check in time, but it was no problem and we were checked in immediately and actually given a free upgrade to a deluxe room from Superior that we booked. Later on that day after spending time down the town we came back to the room to find a bottle of champagne complimentry for our anniversary. It was also my birthday while we were staying there and this was just the day before we left and guess what another bottle of champagne left in our room. I could not belive the generosity of the Hotel. Their is also a computer in the Foyer which you can avail of for free internet access. The doormen are very helpful for directions and suggestions for trips around Vienna. We had booked a couple of sight seeing trips already with Vienna Sightseeing, which was fine. But the personal trips the Hotel door men recommended, looked fantastic and I was sorry we had not done one of these. The Hotel breakfast was an Amercian Style Buffet, which was fab, it cost €26 p/p. If you want something lighter the hotel has a little cafe, or you can have breakfast in the town which is only a 10min or less walk away. The Hotel is so central we walked to all the major buildings and the Parks in Vienna are wonderful. The staff are excellent and very helpful and speak great english.

"Fantastic Location, Excellent Service and Cool Rooms"
I booked a stay at the Le Meridien following a recommendation from a friend and the good reviews on Trip Advisor. I have not been disappointed! The hotel was in a fantastic location, literally a stone's throw away from the Staatsoper and the Hofburg Palace complex. The "Ambassador" service (aka the Conceirge) was most helpful and they pointed out places to visit. They also had this fantastic mini map that the hotel prints themselves - all hotels should take a note and do this. It's pretty handy, fits nicely in a pocket and was most informative (although it does leave out other hotels like the famous Saccher Hotel where you can get a Sacchertorte). The reverse has a list of attractions, but check first on the opening times - found a few to be out of date. Lastly, the rooms are ultra cool - really loved the well appointed bathrooms, and the massive flat screen TV that they had mounted on the wall. Rooms were spacious and I liked the "free" mini bar! I would stay there again on another trip to Vienna.

"Super Minimal and Modern"
After we had problems with the check in since they lost our reservation and we had to call our Travel agent in Cyprus and made him open his office on a Sunday early morning to fax them the reservation, we were upgraded but the room had as a view the back side of the hotel. What impressed us was the very artistic decoration with bright red furniture, modern lights, very nice lounge-bar. the room was very high-tech with a glass head board of the huge bed which lit at night and had the shape of a horse, plasma TV, fresh fruit in the room, very nice colours, smart minimal decor. The bathroom large, modern, but inconvenient and serves most the purpose of nice decor. the Spa is very nice , but they allow too many children and it´s very loud. Breakfast is average. We prefer the Vienna Intercontinental but we also liked Le Meridien.

"Great Location and Fantastic hotel"
The hotel is in a great location right across the street from the Opera House. You can walk to the center in 10 minutes. The hotel room itself is sharp, clean, very well detailed and modern. Absolutely love it. Transporatation: From the airport, catch the CAT Train to Wien Mitte. This costs 8 euros one way or a little cheaper is buying a roundtrip ticket. If you have a family, buy the family pass. It's 25 euros for roundtrip good for travel within 30 days. A family with 2 adults and upto 4 kids can use it. Great deal! Once you get to Wien Mitte, go and buy a subway pass for the U4 line towards Hutteldorf. Get off at the 2nd stop which is Karlsplatz. Once you get off the train, go upstairs and make a left towards McDonalds. Exit at the Opernring exit. When facing the Opera House, the hotel is across the street on the left side, about 100 yards away. Currency-- We had no euros when we arrived into Vienna. We paid all transportation costs by credit card. Once we got to the hotel, we found a bank and got the proper currency at a fair exchange rate.

"Stylish modern alternative in Vienna"
Le Meridien Wien was our favourite hotel during a two week jaunt through Austria and Switzerland. It is centrally located on the Opernring, a few minutes' walk from the State Opera House and the Karlsplatz station where one can connect to trams that run along the Ringstrasse and several metro lines. A further short walk brings one into the heart of the old city and to St Stephans, or along the Ringstrasse to the Hofburg and Museums Quartier. For those who prefer shopping, the Ringstrasse Galerie, with a Billa market, is a short walk in the opposite direction. The hotel is very chic and functional, without lapsing into stark white minimalist cliches. The design of the room makes good use of the space and is well thought out, there is a little dressing area between the bed and bathroom with a full length mirror, iron, ironing board and trouser press, which all fold away very neatly. Loved the spa style shower. A previous reviewer's description of the bed as "supremely comfortable" sums it up well, and there is a fun service that allows a choice of pillows, including special neck support pillows and 'ecological' spelt grain pillows. Drinks in the minibar were complimentary and re-stocked fully every day. Just to note, there is no turndown service, which we did not find to be a problem. The staff were uniformly helpful, from the door and bellmen who first greeted us to the concierge: restaurant reservations, directions to attractions, explanations of the public transport system and all questions were handled readily and courteously. There was no "trendier than thou" attitude. We arrived early, and the check-in staff made several attempts to locate an open room, to no avail. We left our luggage, wandered around the Naschmarkt, a short walk away, and had ice cream at Oberlaa. Although they did initially forget to state at what time a restaurant reservation was made, it was rectified quickly. In addition, we did not inform the staff that we were celebrating a birthday during our stay but they did notice and sent up a bottle of champagne. The only negative is that there is only one internet terminal for general guest use in the lobby. There is a business centre, although it must not be used often as neither the internet nor printer were connected! Although I would not hesitate to recommend Le Meridien Wien to anyone going on holiday, it may not quite fit the needs of business travellers. It is a stylish modern alternative in a city where hotels tend toward the fussy and gilt.

Fantastic hotel
We have visited Vienna in a few ocassions and this hotel was by far the most fantastic an relaxing of them all. The room was very big and loved the confortable bed. The bathroom was very modern and the power shower heaven!!! Great views from the balcony and we even loved staying in watching the plasma tv... Very good breakfast in the mornings with great food to prepare you for a city walk... We enjoyed the best Gin and Tonic at the hotel bar, bit expensive, but the best in town! We enjoyed it so much that we are going back this august... By far the best hotel in Europe!!!!

Loved the Meridien
After some initial mix-ups regarding our room, we received one with fabulous views of the city. The hotel is in close proximity to all the museums and attractions in Vienna and many of its dining options. The amenities include a free minibar (14 bottles of water, Coke, juices, and beer restocked daily), highspeed Internet access, and cable TV on your large, plasma television. The bathroom includes both a three-nozzle shower and an old-fashioned clawfoot bathrub, again with a view of the city. You can pipe your television show into your shower, which is ideal if you choose MTV music videos. The front desk and hotel cleaning staff are extremely helpful, with excellent English skills.
