"Terrific place to stay in Old Lyon"
The Phenix Hotel is a terrific place to stay in Lyon. It is a very cozy hotel, with 36 rooms. Our room was a "junior suite" and was quite large. It had a sitting area consisting of a small sofa, two chairs, three tables, television, refrigerator and a large, clean bathroom downstairs and a bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed, and two nightstands upstairs. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English. The hotel is located less than a two minute walk from Vieux Lyon historic area and many nice restaurants. It is easy and quick to get to the hotel from the train station - from the sncf Lyon Perrache station, take the number 31 bus which stops directly in front of the hotel (St Paul stop) - a ten minute bus ride.

"Lyon - old town - perfect location and lovely hotel"
We had a lovely one night stay in the Phenix hotel in the old town of Lyon. The room had a beautiful view on the Saone River, room 202 on the second floor. The reception was warm and friendly and it is a perfect location to explore the old town. There's parking -for a fee - if you come by car.
I'd stay there again at the drop of a hat.

"No worries"
Great Location, large rooms, friendly helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again. Unusual coloured bathroom suite ( Heinz cream of Tomato Soup red !)
