Opened in 1903, this 294-room Le Royal Meridien King Edward was designated a historical site in 1975, and re-opened in 1981 after a restoration. The exterior is French Renaissance with terra-cotta trim. In the lobby, a glass-domed rotunda is set amid rose marble columns. High ceilings give way to a skylight, and decor includes Canadian artworks. The property draws both business and vacation travelers.

LOCATION

Le Royal Meridien King Edward is located in the business district, this regal hotel is three blocks from Eaton Centre�s shops, five blocks from the Royal Alexandra Theatre, and six blocks from the CN Tower.
