"Friendly and welcoming hotel nr Madeleine"
This hotel was recommended by a friend who asked us not tell anyone about the hotel as she didn't want it to become too popular as it is such a hidden gem, but wanted to name and praise! Had a wonderful 4 night stay over the New Year period with my husband for our honeymoon! Although this hotel is not ulta-luxury it is small, friendly, and extremely well looked after, and made for a relaxing and romantic stay in Paris. The location is excellent, particularly for a first visit to Paris, and I would most certainly stay here again.

"Perfect for Paris!"
I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Le Vignon located at 23 Rue Vignon in the Madeleine/Opera district (those are also the nearest metro stops) and what a wonderful time we had. We booked a few months in advance in order to celebrate our anniversary. When I told the hotel this they included a bottle of champagne in the quote which was a nice touch. None of the other hotels we were considering at the time offered so this was a nice touch! We booked a deluxe room rather than their standard rooms (they refer to them Superior rms) because they were slightly bigger and faced the back but to be honest while we were there we saw the superior rooms and there isn't much in it, infact they seemed lighter because they faced the street but I don't know whether they would be noisey. Our room had coffee/tea making facilities, sky tv and a little lounge area to sit and watch tv. On the few occasions we ordered room service they were very quick and very friendly.
The staff on reception were extremely helpful and kind, as soon as we arrived they brought the champagne to our room and wished us well. Most nights we would ask them to recommend a restaurant which they did and booked us in with no problems.
The first night they sent us to a restaurant called L'Envue on 39, rue Boissy (5 minutes from the hotel) which was really nice, lovely food and well presented, infact it's a shame we were so tired and couldn't appreciate it fully. The second night my boyfriend booked us into L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on 7, rue de Montalembert which I would highly recommend, great food with a buzzy atmosphere and situated just off the chic Saint Germain. It's better suited to intimate dining rather than groups because the restaurant is designed so you are sitting at a bar essentially. The third and last night the hotel booked us into Le Moulin da la Galette on 83, rue Lepic which is in the area of the Moulin Rouge. Again lovely food not as good as the previous nights but very enjoyable.
Lunch we grabbed as and when, we found a good cafe near the hotel called Fauchon Paris at 26-30 Place de la Madeleine which sold great french pastries amongst other things i.e. wine/cheese etc. Good place to get presents for home. Another if you are near the Notre Dame is (wait for it) Cafe Quasimodo!! As you can tell from the name it is geared at tourists but it's simple and does just the job for some food while on the move.
With regards to the sightseeing, we saw the famour land marks mostly by going on the Les Cars Rouges tour bus, which cost €22 each (which we got from outside the Eiffel Tower) plus we paid a further €8 each for the Seine Cruise with Bateaux Parisiens. The tour bus tickets were valid for 2 days and the boat trip was valid for a month.
If you need airport transfers then use the Roissy Bus which operates between the Airport and the Opera district which is perfect for staying at Hotel Le Vignon as the stop is 2 streets away. The cost was €8.50 per person (one way) and it took about 45mins, no need to pre book.
I hope this all helps, you really wouldn't be disappointed with booking Hotel Le Vignon. Great location, great service!!

"Magnificent Parisien Ambience"
My husband took me to Paris for the first time. I was in charge of booking the hotel and I am glad I did. What a true gem in the heart of Paris. Convenience, comfort, cleaniness and exceptionally pleasant, courteous and helpful staff. This hotel exudes Parisien ambience. Open your patio doors and breath in French culture. This hotel is on a quiet, small street, about a 5 minute walk to the heart of Paris' shopping district. The metro is only 2 minutes away and is wonderfully easy and affordable to see all Paris has to offer. From this hotel, L'arc de Triomphe and the Tuileries are only 20 minutes away at a leisurely walk. The hotel offers a breakfast but we did not partake as there are numerous cafes, restaurants within a short walk. Just down the street is a wonderful bakery, Chez Paul. Their pastries, sandwiches, coffee are to die for. When we return to Paris, we will definitely stay here again and strongly recommend this hotel.

"Thanks for a great time"
Four of us stayed at Le Vignon for 6 nights early September and we had a great time. The Hotel is situated in a perfect location close the main dept. stores, Fauchon and the Madeline is perfect for the subway and Open tour bus....There are lots of restaurants nearby and the main attractions are within walking distance......Can't thank Fabienne and Christophe enough for their attentive and welcoming service...Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were pleasant, clean and reasonably roomy (for Paris) Thanks again and can't wait to see you in Sydney one day.
