"Good Value, Great Location"
Like all Paris rooms of reasonable price, my single room was small and relatively spartan. But at 85 Euro a night (through laterooms) this was a terrific deal. The hotel is just a short block from the St Paul metro stop in the 4th (Marais), and a reasonable walk to Notre Dame. It's a nice neighborhood, with a good mixture of brasseries, cafes, and take-out places if you're conserving cash. The bathroom was clean and modern, the room small, the bed comfortable, and the staff quite helpful.

"Unbeatable location"
My experience was pretty much in line with that of previous reviewers: this hotel is not going to knock your socks off, but it is pretty good for Paris in terms of size, cleanliness etc, and its location can't be beaten - two minutes from the Rue de Rivoli, a short walk from the Place des Vosges. We found the staff unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. It was no problem for us to leave our bags there for a few hours after check-out. The rooms featured the usual nasty Parisian decor but were clean and more roomy than we've come to expect from a Paris hotel (two people could actually pass each other without one having to sit on the bed to make way!!! Shock, horror!!). The bathroom was also above average with a shower over the bath and not just a shower stall - again, this is unusual for a Paris hotel, as a previous reviewer has commented. We didn't have breakfast as there was a cafe around the corner where we ate the most delicious pains au chocolat : - )
There is also a bakery just around the corner and a Monoprix next door so it's easy to pick up day-to-day essentials.
We found the hotel to be very quiet and peaceful, but then again, the school opposite may have been on half term! There are only 20 rooms so not too many people coming and going.
All in all, we would definitely stay here again.
