Lido Caparena And Wellness Club and wellness club is a beach resort situated in Taormina mare and it is surrounded by a luxuriant sub-tropical garden of palm trees Hibiscus and Bougainville flowers.

Caparena Hotel is only a 10 minutes drive from the historical centre of the town. This property is just 4 kilometres from the city centre, 5 kilometres from the Taormina Train Station, while the airport is 45 kilometres away.

* The restaurant offers an exquisite buffet in the lovely garden overlooking the sea and surrounded by palm trees. The terraced restaurant serves both Sicilian and international cuisine in a very romantic setting.

* The Wellness Club offers a wide range of personalized massages in aromatherapy hydromassage an exclusive Aquarium with tropical and emotional showers, steam bath, and a mini jacuzzi pool all oriented to a total awakening of body and senses. A fully equipped Fitness area has been recently opened.

* Lido Caparena also offers meeting and banqueting rooms for organising various events.

"Fantastic"
We have been during 5 nigths on the hotel , We think it is a great place to stay , with a beautifull see of the Taormina bay. During our one week travel in Sicily we were in 3 different hotels and this is the best by far. The staff is nice and alwasy willing to help you, the garden and the private beach are fantastic.

BEWARE of the negative reviews of the caparena. i read all these other negative reviews of the caparena after i had booked my holiday and i thought i would be going to hell. i was so relieved when i arrived as the hotel was great. facilities are good as is the food. what worried me were the claims that the pool was not included in the price you pay. this is true for some depending on who you book your holiday with, check and get a confirmation in writing from your operator that beach and pool are included in your package price. as for the staff- they were brilliant if you can speak even a word of italian. do not mistake their apparently frosty reception as rudeness. sicily is slightly behind the times with regard to tourism. once you break the ice with hello/thank you in their language you will immediately recieve their famous hospitality. just ask yourself, if someone of a different nationlity came to where you live/work and asked for your help could you converse in their mother tongue? the room had a sea view (again we got this as we booked with kuoni and with them this comes as standard) and was spacious with a lovely terrace. the maids do a fab job and we had new linen 3 times in the week we were there. the only down sides are that the language barrier can be a problem with regard to transport. the shuttle service is brilliant, just make sure that reception understand the times you want to return, they use 24hr clock much more than we do. REMEMBER we love italy for the fact that it has a relaxed atmosphere, as a result you may have to wait just that little bit longer for what you want-we are so used to getting things now. please do not discount the caparena, we had a wonderful time- the fact that locals holiday and have their weddings there speaks for itself.
