"Fantastic"
We stayed for three nights midweek. The hotel was wonderfully quiet and we received a free room upgrade. The food and wine were fabulous. The staff were magnificent. A great place to get some peace and quiet. We would definitely go back.

"Well worth a visit"
This hotel was in beautiful surroundings and is sympathetically furnished and decorated in it's period style. The hotel room was lovely, clean and spacious with a comfy four poster bed. However what made our stay here so lovely were the manager and staff, every single one of whom were welcoming and attentive; particularly our waitress Katie. The only slight disappointment was the bathroom, which was partitioned off in one corner of the room, tiny and with a very dull light so that you could barely see in there. On the whole though this didn't detract from the hotel too much and I would say that it is well worth a visit.

"Wonderful Winter wedding and New Years"
We spent 5 nights at Lockerbie Manor from the 27th December to the 1st January. A wedding party of 43 people spent the first 2 days and nights there to celebrate our wedding. We can only describe the wedding day as perfect. Everything we had hoped and planned for was catered for by the great team of staff at the Manor. The highlight was un-doubtedly the food which was superb and drew comments of approval from all our guests. The management at the hotel are extremely accommodating and really do go the extra mile to meet your needs. The main reception rooms all have open fireplaces and the traditional decor really makes for an inviting and cosy place to stay. Approximately 16 of us continued our stay to New Year’s Day, which included 8 young children. The staff were again very accommodating to the children, especially around meal times and served up some kid’s meals that you simply would not get from most hotels. The bedrooms vary in size and quality and all are of the traditional nature in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Four posters and Jacuzzi baths are available. Some of the guests needed to ask for extra heaters as it was very cold in Scotland in December, but all our needs were met quickly and courteously as ever by the staff. It is worth speaking to the staff if you are looking for things to do locally or organise special events. We had a Clay pigeon shoot and a fireworks display, both of which were provided by local people who were recommended to us by Andy Gorman, the Hotel owner. All in all we would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a wonderful Manor house, with truly fantastic food and friendly, accommodating hotel staff. We will definitely return and look forward to doing so.
