"excellent 3 day break"
Just returned from a 3 day break ( 3nights for the price of 2)There is a lot of re furb work going on in the restaurant but the staff and the food more than make up for any in convenience.We were lucky enough or cheeky enough to get an up graded room on the 3rd floor to a suite.The heating was hardly functioning but as soon as it was reported the staff could not have been more helpful.All the staff were really good and polite and especially in the funtion room which doulbled as a restaurant and very well run under the supervision of the French head waiter/restaurant manager.The food is absolutely marvelous,breakfast is everything you could imagine and the evening meals were something to look forward to each night with a superb choice.Small pool and sauna but well run,didnt use the Gym but it looked ok.Great location for walks.Would not hesitate to go back.

"Fantastic Hotel!"
The hotel is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by the fells. We managed to get a free upgrade to one of the suites. It had just been decorated and the views were stunning. The staff were all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
