"Welcoming and Lovely" We stayed at the Louvre Montana for two periods during a recent trip to Paris, our first visit for 7 nights and then a further 2 nights a week later. We had booked a superior room, and must admit that all the comments in these reviews about the rooms being large by Parisien standards are spot on. The room was almost as good as the PR photos, and if anything the bed was too big (not often that anyone would complain about that). The bathroom was great, with a nice roomy bath to relax in after a day promenading those wonderful, but deadly, streets of Paris. Everything, including the air-conditioning (necessary during an unseasonally warm spell) worked perfectly, always a relief. The location of the hotel is just wonderful with all the must-see sights within walking distance, not to mention a couple of really great little restaurants, a super convenient and well stocked minimart just around the corner, and shops to suit every budget. The staff at the hotel are just delightful, to the point where when we returned after our week on a canal in Burgundy we were welcomed back so warmly that it really did feel as though we had come home. Highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying there again.

"Very impressed by this hotel" My family and me were thoroughly impressed by the Louvre Montana. The staff are fluent in English, very friendly and always ready to help. One of the gentlemen in reception even went out of his way to book a taxi for us that was big enough to carry my disabled sister's wheelchair, so a big thank you to him! We booked a twin and a double room and both were very clean and comfortable. The twin room was particularly large and all four of us were able to sit in it of an evening without feeling cramped. The breakfast consists of croissants, yogurt, ham, cereal, eggs, juice, coffee, tea etc. I've noticed that other reviewers have complained that the breakfast was too small, but I found it tasty and satisfying. The location of the hotel is excellent and the area felt safe and quite upmarket. The Louvre is just across the road, the Place Vendome is five minutes away and it took us only 20 minutes to walk to the Notre Dame. My favourite thing, though, was the park opposite the hotel from which you can see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concord and the Arc de Triomph. The only downside to the hotel is that the bar area is very small but there are many bars and restaurants nearby so this isn't a big problem. All in all our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable and I will definately stay here again if I return to Paris.
