The extensively refurbished meeting and conference centre, complete with state of the art facilities, is complemented by the hotel's award winning restaurant and atmospheric bar.

The Bear Hotel exudes warmth and cosiness, perfect if you want to escape from it all and treat yourself to some good old fashioned hospitality.
LOCATION

Macdonald Bear Hotel is at the Gateway to the Cotswolds, set in the picturesque town of Woodstock and a stones throw away from Blenheim Palace. The hotel is also centrally located to explore Oxford (8 miles), Stratford-upon-Avon (the birthplace of Shakespeare) and all the towns and villages of the Cotswolds.

"Wonderfully romantic"
Our stay at the Bear Hotel was truely outstanding, from the spacious rooms to the level of service. The majority of the rooms surround a courtyard and ours looked like the entrance to an old fashioned tea shop - complete with double bay window! Inside the furnishings were excellent and the bed wonderfully comfortable. The bathroom was on the small size but spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a feast with plenty on offer and all freshly cooked. The staff was excellent and very courteous. All in all highly recommended for a special stay

"Old world charm"
Stayed here for a night and had dinner, bed and breakfast. Beautiful, old-world charm. Bit like being in an Agatha Christie movie, but that's no bad thing! Recommended!
