Macdonald Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa is a beautifully restored 700-year-old building set in seventeen acres of Lancashire parkland.
Ahead of you lies the pleasure of staying in a seven hundred year old country house where you can enjoy excellent food and the sense of well being conferred by old-fashioned hospitality. The hotel boasts every modern facility including a fully equipped Vital health and beauty spa, not to mention a wide choice of conference and banqueting rooms. No mass conformity, no bland anonymity. Virtually each of the rooms has its own distinctive character. The Dunkenhalgh has a selection of rooms that have been individually designed to reflect the centuries old tradition of the Dunkenhalgh. The rooms surrounding the hotel's courtyard are always very popular being a stone's throw from the Vital Leisure Club. |

"Fantastic"
Having now stayed at this hotel several times, I can not fault anything about it. We have chosen to have our wedding here also which I am sure will be a fantastic day, our reasons for this being that we found the food fantastic, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the standard of rooms very comfortable. Having worked in a few hotels myself I have seen behind the scenes many times, which is why I am even more impressed with this one.

"Wedding"
We held our wedding in 2004 at the Dunkenhalgh and it was excellent. The organisation pre-wedding and the wedding co-ordinator could not have been more helpful in making our day special.
The whole day went like a dream - food was great and I could not have found one fault. I would recommend it to any future couples that are looking for their wedding venue.
