Macdonald Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa is a beautifully restored 700-year-old building set in seventeen acres of Lancashire parkland.

Ahead of you lies the pleasure of staying in a seven hundred year old country house where you can enjoy excellent food and the sense of well being conferred by old-fashioned hospitality. The hotel boasts every modern facility including a fully equipped Vital health and beauty spa, not to mention a wide choice of conference and banqueting rooms.

No mass conformity, no bland anonymity. Virtually each of the rooms has its own distinctive character.

The Dunkenhalgh has a selection of rooms that have been individually designed to reflect the centuries old tradition of the Dunkenhalgh. The rooms surrounding the hotel's courtyard are always very popular being a stone's throw from the Vital Leisure Club.

LOCATION

Macdonald Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa is conveniently situated just off junction 7 of the M65 motorway, it is easily accessible from all major routes.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

* Cameo:
Standards are high in the Cameo Restaurant. They have to be. The chefs won't do anything less than prime fresh produce. The restaurant's reputation attracts decerning diners from within a wide radius of the hotel.
Cuisine is mainly English and Continental, and there are some notable Lancashire dishes, while wines are almost as pleasursable to read about as to drink.

* The Vital Health and Leisure Spa has recently reopened following a major refurbishment, this now features a 12 metre pool, saunas, feature showers, ice fountain and Technogym. Also included are 8 beauty treatment rooms and a relaxation studio.

* For Conferences, The Pendle Suite can accommodate up to 400 delegates and the Towneley Suite up to 200, with a number of other traditionally styled rooms available for smaller meetings. In addition there is the state-of-the-art Conference Centre with 6 rooms, making it one of the largest purpose-built centres in the Northwest. All Conference Centre rooms are air-conditioned, having the advantage of natural daylight and include high specification AV equipment. These rooms can accommodate between 10 and 60 delegates.

ROOM AMENITIES

* The hotel has 175 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, including suites, feature rooms and a recently opened Executive Wing with 55 luxurious rooms. For your added comfort all bedrooms have TV, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, along with 24 hour room service, early morning calls and newspapers available upon request.
