"Great hotel, Great Staff"
Mafraq Hotel - Abu Dhabi,Unite Arab Emirates, Midddle East We visited the Mafraq Hotel last yaer and our stay there could not have been more pleasurable! The hotel itself was clean, spacious and well furnished as were the grounds in which it stood. At the time we went, the weather was increddibly hot but the hotel offered a cool and well aired retreat from the sun. Hotel staff were incredible. All were friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them. They offered an excellent service throughut our stay and it was a real shame when we had to leave. The hotel grounds were well looked after and the pool, although not that big was refreshing and always welcoming. Unlike other places that we have stayed in, the atmosphere was always calm and relaxed. Definately the environment to unwind in. The hotel also offers a wide range of other services such tennis coaching, swimming lessons, keep-fit, spa, ftness center which were all well priced. Eating within the hotel was a fantastic experience with fresh food prepared and cooked daily. The waiting staff as well as the cheifs were as curtious as any other members of staff and the all went out of their way to ensure each meal was a feast. Although the hotel is situated about a 20 minute ride from Abu Dhabi, a local cab company works for the hotel and the price for such a long journey was only a few pounds. People everywhere were friendly and helpful and although bartering is expected, unlike some other arabic countries there was no hard selling pressure to buy. For those not wishing to travel by taxi, the hotel also offered a free bus service. Due to the hot weather, it was very strange but understandable to shop at night. With the such busy streets and the city of Abu Dhabi felt very safe to be in. Definately a place we can't wait to visit again.

Mafraq Hotel
After recently returning from the Mafraq Hotel I can honestly say that I enjoyed the experience. The staff are helpful & friendly and if there is a problem they do their utmost to make amends. However be warned that it takes closer to 45 minutes to get to the city centre and not the 20 minutes as stated. Although there is a courtesy bus the times are rather inconvenient, but the taxis are reasonable. Make sure your taxi driver knows where the hotel is - ours got lost one night! The rooms are spacious and clean. The tea and coffee making facilities were a bonus. The Fitness Centre is very well equipped and the pool area is well designed. Just don't sit near a sprinkler at 4pm or you could get wet! If I'm ever in Abu Dhabi again I would be happy stay at the Mafraq Hotel.
