"Great Hotel"
I have stayed at The Maids Head on quite a few occasions whilst visiting the city on business. I think the hotel is FANTASTIC, the staff are warm and friendly and the food SUPERB !!!I understand that the hotel is going through a refurbishment at the moment of some of its bedrooms and public areas. It is a wonderfully situated hotel and has lots of character... not like the new modern purpose built hotels that seem to be around the rest of Norwich.I feel the comments made by the person stating the hotel is a dump was very unjustified and would hope this will not deter anyone staying there. What do they expect from a 13th century hotel ???DEFINATLEY worth a visit when in Norwich

"Fantastic Hotel"
What can i say. the hotel is old. so your not going to get all the mod cons so to speak.i stayed in suite 6 (filby) absolutely fantastic lovely room with good features, rustic wooden roof beam adds to the hotels character. we did have a few disruptions with refurb work within the hotel. the staff at the maids make it what it is no matter what is going on around them they are always friendly and very helpful, some have very good knowledge of the surrounding area (almost like they have history lessons in the hotel or something) if you like historic buildings then the maids is a good place to base yourself, almost oppersite the cathedral its in perfect location for walks and sight seeing. well worth the visit for the experience.
