"Magnificent Hotel"
Nine nights in June. Spectacular one-bedroom suite which extraordinarily exceeded every other suite that I had during my month trip to Europe. The Majestic referred me to and outstanding English speaking well educated personal guide. Breakfast was superbly prepared and served. The roof-top pool was small but was a nice respite for cocktails and a gorgeous roof-top view of Barcelona. The cigar lounge is unparalleled.

"fantastic Hotel"
just returned from a 3 night stay at the majestic, despite arriving 3 hours early, the hotel had our room ready in about 15 mins.
the room was exactly as requested and we were very impressed with the service by the whole staff, the room was cleaned every day to a very high standard, we had breakfast every morning and it had a good selection of food
it made for a terrific base to explore barcelona,
we look forward to returning next year but this time for a longer stay

"Great hotel, amazing location!"
Stayed here on 21st July for 3 nights. Welcomed by very pleasant and helpful staff in a nicely decorated lobby. Granted an early check in and late checkout despite being very busy. Room was very comfortable and spacious, with clean modern bathroom. Service was fantastic, fulfilling my every need. Roof top pool small, but amazing views of barcelona. At night it becomes 'Dolce Vita', a beautiful bar, with an in house DJ playing lounge music, good selection of drinks, and as mentioned before, amazing view! Must check it out. The location of the hotel is probably the most expensive area of Barcelona, surrounded by designer shops. Can't beat it!
Only downside is expensive room service (15 euros for 2 teas)! But would definitely stay here again.
Barcelona is a great city..check out Agua, restaurant on beachfront, and ask for a table outside.

"Beautiful, welcoming hotel"
My sister and I stayed at the Hotel Majestic in Barcelona for a night this week. It was a wonderful stay. We reserved a regular room and when we went up to our room we were delighted to find that they put us in a junior suite with two balconies overlooking the Passeig de Gracia. Everything about the room was elegant and comfortable, from the sitting area to the beds to the large bathrrom with a jacuzzi tub/shower and another large shower. We came home to find a large fruit tray and a bottle of water in our room with a card welcoming us to the hotel. Our only, very slight, problem was when we decided to watch a movie in the room. There were no descriptions on the screen so we chose the only movie listed as a comedy (one we'd never heard of). It was actually a drama, somewhat of a thriller or action type movie. We mentioned that when we checked out and the man at the front desk immediately offered to take it off the bill (we declined since we had watched the movie). The people who work in the hotel were all very nice and very helpful and it's in a perfect location for seeing this beautiful city.

"Great Hotel"
I researched the Barcelona hotels for over a month and decided on the Majestic because of a referral from one of my wife's patients. We rented two rooms as I took my granddaughter and our neice joined us as she was just finishing a semester in an exchange program. I had read some conflicting reviews and was concerned about our future stay. I was impressed that the marketing manager took the time to answer negative responses that where posted on this site.
Our rooms where as described, maid service excellent, room service excellent, buffet breakfast worth the 20 euros. My only complaint is that the hotel does not have a person to help with restaurant recommendations or tour help other than all the people work at the front desk. They try but I like someone who will spend the time and effort to help me over my stay.
I still rate our 7 day stay as excellent and would stay at the hotel again.

"Another great stay"
This was my wife and my second visit to this hotel, this time with friends for the England game against Andorra in late March. We were not disappointed. We got a great deal from [--], which included a very good breakfast.
The difference maker for the Majestic is definitely the location - most of the sights are easily accessible from here and you don't have the crowds and tat of Las Ramblas. There are loads of great tapas bars (Ciudad Condal at Rambla de Cataunya 18) and restaurants (El Glop, also Rambla de Cataunya) to name but two within easy walking distance.

"Sheer Class"
This was our 5th visit to The Majestic. Our previous trip being in March. On this occassion, we were given a fantastic room. As a last minute present for my wife at xmas, I booked 4 nights over the festive period. Reservations were kind enough to allow us to book the same room number. When we arrived, we were greeted with a very warm welcome and told our "usual" room was ready. It is no wonder that The Majestic has won a major hospitality award. If you have a few extra pounds in your budget, book a deluxe room. They are very spacious. How many times have you booked a suite and never used the lounge? This is the best of all worlds. My wife and I have stayed at some of the worlds top hotels and appriciate the nice things in life. You just know that this place works bloody hard to look after their visitors. Room number......... ah! that would be telling!!!!!!!

"Worthy of its Name"
I stayed at the Majestic more than 1 year ago, My experience with the Majestic was superb from check-in to check out. I found the staff to be very helpful. My room was a Jr. Suite with nice windows which opened to the Passig de Gracia - very nice feature. The amenities in the room were worthy of a 5 star hotel. The decor was modern and the room was very clean. The hotel fitness center is quite nice as hotels go. The equipment was new and the locaton on the same roof deck as the pool made for a very enjoyable time when finished. The views of the city from the roof top are oustanding.
I did not eat in the hotel restaurants - however I did have some drinks in the off-lobby bar and again the service was incredible. I have no bad comments for this hotel - which in these days of travel is a fine statement about the service and facilities available at the Hotel Majestic. Outstanding.

"Another great stay at the Majestic"
A first class stay. The hotel is stylishly furnished and has comfortable bedrooms. As we had a 3 nts for the price of 2 offer, we felt it was good value for money. However for drinks, food and mini bar it is expensive so if you are on a budget it is better value to eat and drink outside the hotel.
Breakfast was included and was excellent - great selection and nicely presented and very well replenished. Room was well serviced and very clean with plentiful supplies of toiletries. Dressing gowns and slippers provided.Bathroom small but well planned with bath/shower over (but with glass panel as opposed to dreaded plastic curtain)toilet, bidet, vanitory unit, hairdryer, good make up mirror etc.
Location is fab - in up market area and between 2 key Gaudi buildings. Ten mins walk to cathedral, or ramblas and bus stop for airport bus (3.75E) 30E for taxi if you prefer. This was our second stay and I would go back. Nice terrace on top floor overlooking the city, with small pool - being January we didn't use, but people were sitting out on the terrace in the sun and reading/relaxing.

Mrs Coombes
I stayed at the Majestic for a four day break with my daughter and found this hotel to be first rate in every detail. Some hotels are rated as four star and don't know the meaning of it. This is a first rate four star hotel. The location is perfect to see the sights of Barcelona, whilst not being in the busy area of La Ramblas it is only at ten minute walk away. The rooms are immaculately clean and the linen changed every day. The breakfast was excellent with any choice you may require. In all this was a perfect 'keeping up with you daughter's life' trip, enhanced by this beautiful well run hotel. |

"Great roof bar"
This hotel is right in the middel of the city, the rooms were ok, but what really makes this hotel is the roof garden, pool and bar. During the day and night you can see right into the heart of the city. Unfortanely the hotel lacks the glamour of the Arts. Be sure to ask for Steve the head bar man on the roof bar makes great cocktails.
