"I was very happy with the Majestic Grande. For the price I paid, I believe I got a good value. The rooms were lovely, the staff very friendly and the location was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend this hotel to any
Majestic Grande Hotel location was great, only about a 1-2 minute walk to the Ploen Chit skytrain station, or about 5 minutes walk to the Nana station. It is behind the JW Marriott hotel. There is the Ploenchit Center next door with many restaurants and a great little supermarket on the bottom level so you can stock up on whatever you need.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was excellent. Many western choices as well as Thai.
I stayed in the superior room and while it was a bit small, it was just me there, so it was fine. The room was quite comfortable, very clean and good tv stations. The bed was quite hard and that may be the only thing I would complain about at this hotel. There is a mini bar with many options, but it is quite expensive, as is all mini bars at hotels. I just went to the supermarket and stocked up on water, juice, soda and used the fridge to keep them cold. There was an electronic safe in the room as well.
I was very happy with the Majestic Grande. For the price I paid, I believe I got a good value. The rooms were lovely, the staff very friendly and the location was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Majestic Grande Hotel was a pretty nice "
Majestic Grande Hotel was a pretty nice place to stay during our last few days in Bangkok. Great Location in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. The lobby was very pleasant and comfortable. Our room was nice, although the layout of our corner room could be improved. It had 2 twin beds (which were actually quite small, but very comfy), a love seat sofa, a lounge chair with ottoman, and a desk. All of this made for a very cramp room because of the way it was setup. Breakfast was good.

"Loved The MG"
We stayed for two nights in August 07 and absolutely loved it.
We had the cheapest room and it was great. The Service is outstanding, staff couldn't do more for you. We were treated like royalty. Buffet breakfast is super and the BBQ buffets in the evening out of this world. We used the pool, which is lovely but unfortunately didn't have the time to take advantage of the sauna, gym and jacuzzie. Great value for money (had super deal through Asia Rooms) Definitely will go back there next time we are in Bangkok.

"Excellent value, excellent hotel"
We stayed at the Majestic Grande for 3 nights in february and loved it!
The outside of the hotel is not particulary impressive but inside it has everything we wanted:
- simple but elegant decor
- friendly service with most staff speaking good english.
- Very nice restaurants (although overpriced by thai standards) with first-rate service.
- Sleek, clean room (view of busy roads below)
- Lovely 7th floor swimming pool outside restaurant and adjacent to gym.
- good air-conditioning!
The location of the hotel is great, near to the skytrain (cheap, efficient and air-conditioned) and the neighbourhood is interesting (and safe).
Can't understand the previous reviewer having problems with checking in. It took us five minutes and there were six or seven thai ladies at the check-in desk waiting for someone to check-in!
The service within the hotel was amazing. There seemed to be half a dozen people employed to do the job of one person. We never had to open the main doors into the hotel, never had to wait to be seated for meals and the staff seemed genuinely annoyed with themselves if you wouldn't let them bend over backwards to help you.
Overall i loved the Majestic Grande. When we booked i assumed that this would be an average hotel because of the price we paid, but it is in fact an excellent hotel that seems to be very reasonably priced.
If we ever go back to Bangkok i'll take strong persuading to stay anywhere else.

"Highly recommended!"
Stayed here for 5 nights in August. The hotel has a good location on Sukhumvit 2 not far from the Sky train.
You can sit by the pool and have breakfast which is really nice - we spent some hours there :-).
I booked our stay using their own website and payed 4200 bath/night for a Grand Deluxe, which I consider cheap for what you get. Used the nice pool area alot before lunch and then went out for shopping and sightseeing in the afternoon.
On the last day when we checked out - our flight didn't leave until quite late in the night, so we got to use the Spa for taking a shower and change clothes before leaving for the airport.

"outstanding value"
For the price this hotel is really hard to beat. The rooms and bathrooms are beautiful and the service is great.
The elevators are a little slow and the lobby is somewhat small.
But the location is right in the middle of the some of the best nightlife in Bangkok, and close to shopping and many great restraunts.
It's a block away from the JW Marriot, has nicer rooms, slower elevators, service that's about comparable and has about half the price.
One warning is that my wife tells me that the street in front of the property floods up to 18 inches of water or more during rainy season.

"Better than the more expensive hotels"
I stayed at this hotel this year Feb 06' & am just booking my next stay Feb 07'.
I love this hotel, it is nice and clean with beautiful decor. I normally stay at a more expensive hotel, but that was booked so we stayed here.
I cannot fault them at all. I found the staff just beautiful & the hotel very relaxed. I felt really welcome and there was always someone to help if I needed it.
Also the food at this hotel is beautiful and also very reasonably priced compared to some other hotels. I did find the breakfast a little boring, but still alot better than some places. The pool is fantastic and the spa was great. I didn't use the gym, but it had alot of equipment and looked clean. The massages were amazing, the Thai massage was not the best I have had, but the massage with oil was well worth it. We also used the business centre a few times, and always received great service. They also arranged to ship a package back to Australia. I would recommend for both business & pleasure.
