"Marceau Bastille...Clean, Modern and Stylish!"
Brilliant Hotel...My girlfriend and I stayed at the Marceau Bastille for a few nights in November and the hotel was excellent. Tucked away down a side street seconds from the Place de la Bastille and a few minutes walk from Notre Dame.
The clean white exterior welcomes you to a modern, stylish reception where the staff were helpful, polite and communication was no problem as they spoke good english.
Our room was of average size but was finished to a high standard and was very clean. The beds were excellent and comfortable. The breakfast was in a buffet format and had a large selection of typically continental breakfast foods and for an extra 20 euros it was well worth it.
I highly recommend the Marceau Bastille and look forward to stopping there again in the future....

"Perfect base for a Paris trip"
My wife and I booked this hotel for a short weekend break in Paris. We wanted something that was modern, stylish and comfortable and that was centrally located for sight-seeing, shopping and nightlife. We were not disappointed.
On arrival, our initial impressions of the hotel were excellent. We received a warm welcome at reception and were delighted when we opened the door of the room to find that the standard of the accomodation lived up to the expectations we had from looking at the hotel webwsite & from reading other reviews.
The room was a good size (by Paris standards) with comfortable beds and modern furniture and fittings throughout. The bathrobes & slippers were a nice touch.
We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. There was always someone there to assist you with any queries or questions and you were always greeted by a member of staff on your return to the hotel each day.
If you have a taste for continental-style breakfasts, you will be spoilt for choice with a wide variety of delicious food on offer each morning. We left early each day having eaten plenty to keep us going right up to lunch.
The hotel's location is perfect for most needs. By day, you are only a short stroll from the Seine (& its river walks), Notre Dame and Rue de Rivoli (& its many shops). By night there are plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you entertained.
I would definitely recommend Le Marceau Bastille and I hope that I get a chance to revisit myself some day soon!

"Lovely hotel, location ok"
Great hotel. Very Friendly staff . Rooms really clean. Superb comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The hotel is a 5 min walk from Bastille Metro Station. Overall a really enjoyable experience. If there was anything to fault it would be the location..I did feel slightly cut off from the hub of things and that we walked a lot. Try La Biche au bois restaurant (just 2 mins away) for a lovely evening out.......traditional french food, lovely staff and atmosphere.
