"Good Hotel, Convenient Location"
We stayed at Orange La Fayette on 15 and 16 November. Our room was small but adequate. The bathroom was another story. We spent a week in London before coming to Paris and we saw some small bathrooms but this one was the worst. The shower didn't have a door, only a plastic divider between the shower and sink. No matter how careful you were, you couldn't help but get water on the floor and the wall. There was very little room to stand at the sink. A large person would have a lot of trouble getting from the sink to the shower. We are average sized and it was a tight squeeze for us. But the room was clean and the location was good. This hotel is within walking distance to the Gard du Nord rail station which is very good news if you're traveling by Eurostar. Also, the Cadet stop on the Metro is close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
There was also a good Italian restaurant, Le Regent just down the street. If you want a budget hotel in Paris, the Orange La Fayette is a good deal.

"Lovely little hotel"
We have just returned from a city break there and following the previous review from the couple from the US I feel I have to redress the balance.
We found the hotel ideal, small yes but you are in Paris and most hotel rooms are small. The staff were polite and even managed to get me to speak a little french, which is a major achievement!!! If you want 5 star go and stay in a 5 star hotel, this isn't but it was certainly at the top end of 3 star.
We enjoyed our stay there and wouldn't hesistate to return.
