In 2004, the Marine completed a £3.5 million refurbishment of all 89 bedrooms and public areas and created 3 new spa rooms in the Bodysense Health and Leisure Club.

The Marine is only 5 minutes from the P&O Irish Ferries terminal to Larne, and Glasgow Prestwick International airport - which is the Scottish Hub for Ryanair.

"Great Hotel"
We recently stayed at the Marine Hotel, Troon, Scotland on the 01 April 2006. We had a Premium king size room, overlooking Troon golf club. The room and bathroom was a good size, it was clean and decor was modern. There are only 2 criticisms of the room, the first was there was no drawer for underwear, and there was no fridge. There was bathrobes supplied, that was great, and bottled water, however the water was warm, and no sign of ice to cool it with. We had a couple of drinks in the lounge bar, it’s nicely decorated, and the staff were very attentive. We dined in the restaurant that night and the food was terrific. The menu is quite small, however all tastes are catered for, there is a choice of steak, fish, pork, chicken, etc, the presentation of the food was top notch, and the service first class. I would like to thank all the staff for a wonderful weekend, especially Dorothy, the head housekeeper, who provides excellent service and ensured we had a great stay.

"A Great Hotel"
We had a wonderful time at this hotel on a recent visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It has got to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed and this was mostly down to the exceptional customer service we received from the moment we arrived in the car park to the minute we left. All the staff (both permanent and temporary) were courteous and very friendly. They couldn't do enough to make our stay there very enjoyable. The bar staff were particularly friendly and customer focussed and made us feel really welcome. The room we had was a family room and was very spacious. We paid a little extra for a sea view but it was worth it as the view over the golf course, beach and sea was fabulous. Our little girl was thrilled to be sleeping on a sofa that "magically" turned into a bed which incidentally was done by the staff there on both nights on our behalf which was a nice touch. We ate in the bar on our first night and the food was great even relatively late at night. We ate in the restaurant on the second night and again the food was fabulous and the service was impeccable. Our little girl was thrilled with all the attention she was receiving from the friendly staff. The leisure facilities were great and the view from the swimming pool and hot tub was superb - overlooking the beach and sea whilst swimming or relaxing in the hot tub was sheer bliss! To summarise, we had a fabulous and memorable time staying at the Paramount Marine Hotel and intend to visit again soon to be "spoiled" by the terrific staff and facilities. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This 4 star hotel, did not fail to impress. Before the golf open last summer, they refurbished the whole hotel, spending a fortune on it. It looks immaculate, and has stunning views. We had a number of meals here, and all of which were delicious and very well prepared. I felt like I was in heaven- especially as I didn't have to do any of the cooking! The staff were very helpful, always on-hand and willing to do anything for us. I felt like a princess the whole time. The facilities were also superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
