"lovely"
I stay in this hotel whenever I'm in Stuttgart for the tennis tournament there in July. So far I've stayed there 3 years in a row and intend on returning this year too. It's a very comfortable hotel...rooms are large and furnished in warm, cosy colours. Beds are also great! Bathroom is a little small but not too bad. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also great and the room is beautiful. Locationwise it's just a short walk down to the main shopping strip...About 10 min...so it's really well located. Sometimes the noise from the room locks can be a bit loud, since i entails swiping the card and waiting for it to register...but it's really not a huge problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

"Excellent Hotel"
I stayed at the Maritim Hotel in July 2005 for 10 days while I was working in Stuttgart. The hotel staff are very friendly and extremely efficient. The hotel is large and spread over two buildings which are connected by an underground walk way. This hotels is definately of 4 star standard and the rooms are very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and as my room over looked the hotel courtyard the nights we very quite. Stuttgart is actually the quitest city I have visited I think. There is a small pool and gym in the hotel with a sauna, steam room and sun bed. The pool and gym were very quite - I was the only one using then on the Saturday and Sunday evening that I went there. As they were quite they were completely adequate. The gym has 2 cross trainers, a threadmill and 3 or 4 weight machines. I did not have dinner in the hotel as there are plenty of bars and restaraunts within 15 minute walk but the buffet breakfast is superb with a huge range of fruit, cereals, breads, hot breakfast, cold meat etc etc. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and I highly recommend this hotel. The trains in Stuttgart are excellent - the nearest stop is only 5 minutes from the Maritim.

"loved the staff"
We stayed in this Hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding aniversary, and found it to be a beautiful place, and the staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant, it also was so clean and tidy. The only dissapointing thing was there was no entertainment in the Piano Bar, as we thought there would be. The breakfast choice was excellent. The meals where enormous,though a bit costly in the evening. If we went back to Stuttgart we would definitely stay here.
