The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The king mattresses are firm and the bedding of recent vintage. The rooms include space air conditioners, desks, Wi-Fi access, 20-inch TV sets (they’re gradually being upsized), and minibars. Suites add a sink, kitchen cupboards and a separate space with a sofa, table and chairs. The only views from anywhere are of urban Recife. The baths are clean but, stuck with the original layout and fixtures, they betray their pre-hip origins. This is also true of some of the public spaces like the elevators. To retrofit properly would be very costly.
LOCATION
The Marolinda Cult is well located for such a venture. It is situated in the northern end of the fashionable Boa Viagem district, two blocks from the beach. Also within walking distance are two dozen top bars and restaurants. Both the airport and a well-stocked shopping mall can be found five minutes away by car.
