"What a view"
I stayed at the Marriott Budapest Hotel while in Budapest on business.
The hotel sits on the Pest side of the Danube and my room had an incredible view across the Danube with views of Buda and the Palace and Castle.
The hotel is also within a 10 minute walk of the local shopping "Flea Market" where you can buy anything from locally made table cloths to paprika to fresh fruit.
The hotel has high-speed internet, but you will need your own wireless card or you can get one at the business center in the lobby.

"Nice Experience!"
We just returned from a very pleasant three night stay here! It is certainly true that the hotel is ugly from the outside, but inside it is very lovely and the room we stayed was renovated very nicely! We had a large flat screen TV and the room was a good size, the bathroom was good as well. The staff was helpful and courteous and the business center was excellent, as I needed to use the internet daily. As has been mentioned all the rooms have wonderful views of the Danube looking at the Buda Hills, it is just a great view to go to sleep and wake up with. The location is perfect, really. Within walking distance to just about everything, actually except for the ride to and from the airport and the funicular up the Buda hill we didn't use public transport at all the whole time. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone that wants the best view, a fantastic location and a very comfortable room!!! Oh and PS the cinnamon walnut pancakes are awesome!

"Fantastic Hotel"
Stayed here for three days in May 2007. Although there was construction in the hotel, we heard no noise at all while staying on the 2nd floor. We had to move rooms during our stay due to a power issue, but they moved us quickly and compensated us by giving us free access to the executive lounge. The hotel front desk staff are extremely helpful. Views from the rooms were the best I've ever had in any hotel. It is in the heart of the City with easy access to everything. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Excellent Hotel"
The hotel was well located on the banks of the Danube and a short walk from the sights and shopping/restaurant areas. The room was reasonably large and very comfortable and the beds were the best we came across on our trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and not aggressive in seeking tips compared to other Marriotts we stayed in on our trip. An excellent hotel in the best location in Budapest.

"Very Pleasant Visit"
I stayed for one night in late June. After a long trip from the US, I was very happy with my room. It was clean, modern and the a/c worked well. I agree that the room was a bit on the small side, but this hotel has to be nearing 30 years old. The bathroom was well appointed, and I didn't find the bathtub as narrow as other reviewers have. I didn't eat at the hotel, but the dessert buffet offered in the lobby looked delicious. This hotel, along with the Sofitel and the Intercontinental, have the best location in Budapest, directly on the Danube on the Pest side. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"One of the best"
We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it.
The staff were excellent very helpful and knowledgeable. excellent
breakfast,Friday fish buffet great.Breathtaking views at night.We had a corner suite beautifully furnished with Marriott high standards.Can't wait to go back.
