Great Hotel
I just came back from Lisbon and I really enjoyed my stay in Marriotte. Great beds and great staffs, they are so freindly and helpful. I will return to this hotel any time I go to Lisbon.

Superb hotel , Top Quality , Recommend
The FC Barcelona team were staying here at the same time so they agree with me! A superb hotel in all respects. Take a 5 Euro taxi anytime straight into the city centre. Nice quiet location and lovely pool / breakfast area

Superb Location For BENFICA Stadio Luz
Great football lovers as close to Benficas home . 10 minute taxi to city centre cost 15 Euros , maybe less.best hotel in Lisbon in my experience.Superb breakfast

"Top Class Hotel!!!"
We stayed @ the Lisbon Marriott for 3 nights(Oct 27-30) & loved it. We got a great deal on the Marriott Website (58euro per room/per night). I could not recommend this hotel highly enough to anyone. It's first rate. We had caught an early flight from Dublin & arrived @ the hotel at approx 11 a.m. yet we were able to check in without ant fuss or delay. The hotel itself is large & is located about 5 mins from the airport & 5 mins from the city centre. I don't think its location should be an issue for anyone. A taxi to the city centre costs approx 4/5 euro the same to the airport. The nearest metro station (Jardim Zoologico) is a 5 min walk from the hotel, with the surrounding area residential & safe. As such I would have to disagree with the previous post. A day pass for the metro should set you back 3euro & it takes about 5-10mins to travel into the centre (Baxia-Chiado). With regards to the hotel room itself, we found it to be large, spacious & spotless. The king sized bed was magic! Lisbon is a friendly, welcoming & picturesque city with lots to see (take the tram tour from Praca do Commercio) & a great nightlife (Barrio Alto has to be seen & experienced to believed!) & the Marriott is in my opinion a great hotel to base yourself in for any visit to the city

"Great Price - Comfortable Beds!"
We just returned from a fantastic trip to Lisbon and stayed here for 3 nights. We received a very affordable rate on the Marriott web site. The bed was very, very comfortable and the room was quiet and clean though a bit dated. We always had clean towels and daily bed turn down. The location is fine. Near the airport and an easy walk to the metro and train station. The walk is fine - the area is very safe and the train station is a good jumping off point for day trips. We took a quick train to see the castles of Sintra (doable in 3/4 of a day) The only downside of the hotel was the concierge. Following in the postings of others the concierges were not very helpful and the restaurants they sent us were not good. Soliciting their advice is frustrating and should just be avoided. The New York Times had several helpful articles on Lisbon we used - Cafe Vertigo in Chiado should not be missed.

"What a hotel !!!!"
Stayed in Lisbon Marriott last week. What a PLACE !!! After the visit, I found the Oct 18 post about this hotel to be totally inaccurate and misleading.... Lisbon is pretty nice city with mostly very friendly people. The hotel is located in a very decent area and access to the subway is very easy (the Zoo station). The hotel was as good, if not better, than many Marriotts I have stayed at in the US / Europe. The other nice thing is that it is not that far from the airport and Colombo shopping center (reminded me of the Galleria in Houston). As a final touch, the staff hotel was fantastic at check in, they upgraded me to a suite for 23 Euros !!! That gave me free internet and free access to the lounge (which gave me complimentary breakfast, drinks, and snacks all day). I am going to be back for sure.
