The hotel is only 25 minutes from Aberdeen. Some parts of the house date back to the 13th century and the accommodation is comfortable and cosy.

"a very good place to stay"
We stayed in this hotel for four nights. We liked the overall helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff. The food is excellent, rooms are clean. We for sure will be back. Dogs are also welcome which is a bonus for us all.

We stayed at the hotel after a friends wedding and I must say it was probably one of the most romantic nights of my life! Seeing the moonlight reflect off of the river, it was just wonderful!! The bar staff were really friendly in the residents bar after hours, if a little forgetful (but in a good way 10 drinks missing off room bill - fab!). We got a free voucher for a free sunday stay and went back a couple of months later and again it was fab! The rooms are nice and clean with really good powerful showers! Best of all - we got ANOTHER vouncher!! I would say that if you are a new couple, adn have been looking for a romantic get away this is a great place! Especiallyu after a long days walking! The origional room price was £99 on special offer, but even reduced it was well worth it!! I look forward to going back!
