* Grounds at this six-story Hawaiian resort are filled with greens, cabanas, and hammocks under coconut trees. The historic Kalahuipua'a ponds are home to various tropical fish, sharks, and sea turtles. Guests can watch fish feedings weekly and participate in the annual release of pond-raised sea turtles each July 4th. Historians guide on-site tours of petroglyphs.

* The Maui Lani Spa has nine thatched-roof outdoor treatment huts and six indoor treatment rooms for massage, skin care, body treatments, and waxing. A lava sauna, nail care, and makeup applications are also available.

* Toiletries include the hotel's own spa products. Bathrooms also furnish bathrobes and slippers, along with scales. A compact refrigerator is also available in the rooms.
