"wonderful place to stay"
The hotel is at a great location. It is very close to the main train station and it is very clean and roomy. The bathroom was very big compare to other restrooms in italian hotels. The staff was pretty okay they werent 100% happy but they were pretty nice and told us how to get to all the places we wanted to visit while we were there. The bed was kind of hard but nice and warm.
I WILL DEFINETELY STAY THERE THE NEXT TIME I GO TO MILAN.

"Hotel Mediolanum"
Nice hotel with a modern art themed interior. Bed was large and room decorated in an original way. Bathroom was even better. Location is good especially for the central station where one of the underground routes can be found. The underground to the centre, along with shops and bars, can be reached by a 5-10 min walk. Alternatively its a nice walk thru the park to get to the centre on foot. |

"Good hotel, good value"
The decor of the hotel makes it a fun change from other European hotels, and it's just the place to stay in fashionable Milan. It's convenient for both the train station and metro line. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are very nice, we had a nice room overlooking the street and awnings to block out the sun.
We found the hotel staff very accommodating. The continental breakfast is good, and we loved the decor of the bar! A great retreat after a full day of walking the city.

"Mediolanum Welcomed Considerate All-Male Group"
Ten of us stayed in the Mediolanum as part of a stylish batchelor weekend in Milan. The hotel was picked out of the "Hedonists Guide To Milan" guidebook as it looked slick and showed a budget-orientated price. I booked via email as Expedia couldn't handle a large group booking and I got great personal service. Acknowledging I don't speak Italian may have helped and the receptionist (Pasquale) answered emails promptly and accurately. They organised single rooms and a couple of twin rooms for the group and check-in was smooth. Within an hour we'd had great advice on restaurants for the evening and the offer of help with reservations. The Milanese tradition of 'apertivo' was upheld and we enjoyed their free buffet whilst planning our evenings out, sat in the small stylish hotel bar.
The rooms were perfect for us. Quiet, clean, stylish (quirky colours might not suit everyone) and everything worked. The bathroom in our room (218) was super, clean, bright with a good strong shower and cute cosmetic freebies. Only confusion was that the pull-cord in the shower wasn't labelled, was it an alarm? and the towel rail looked like a heated one but wasn't, which would be nice if you had more than one shower in the day and liked dry towels.
Breakfast was plentiful but I would concur with other reviewers and suggest you geot there early(ish). Even well hungover we found things to eat and drink that helped the day start nicely. We noticed other well-groomed British twenty-somethings in the breakfast room and I believe that this hotel suits contemporary young adults particularly well.
Finally, checking out was painless and the hotel helpfully looked after our bags whilst we went out for the afternoon before going to the airport. Pasquale even helped load our cases into the cab... (maybe he wanted the English boys to go!) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for business or pleasure and would heartily recommend it to anyone but the most fussy of travellers.

"Great value - Great location"
I booked this long weekend with my husband and his parents (in their 70's) as a 'city break' to 'somewhere different'. I loved the look of the hotel, as it cetainly added to the 'different' theme. After booking, I read some reviews on this and other sites, and was horrified that I'd made a terrible choice. My worries were unfounded. Just 5 minutes walk from the Stazione Centrale (even with two sprightly 70 year olds!), the hotel was handy for ALL forms of public transport, metro/bus/tram.
The staff were ultra friendly, and willing to help me struggle in Italian (in a genuinely friendly and unpatronising way). Although their English was perfect, they appreciated someone 'having a bash' and corrected my grammer, and gave me alternatives to say.
The rooms - yes, they are bright! - were delighful and cool, although a tad on the small size (it IS an old building!). Lovely bathrooms, and designer toiletries. Room was also made up in the afternoon, if needed. Mini bar was basic, but more than ample for a cold drink.
The breakfst was more than adequate for a continental style breakfast. Pastries, cereals, biscuits, cheese, ham, bread etc. alongside a choice of juices and tea/coffee. It saw us through for the early part of the day...although in Milan, you are not short of places to stop and have a snack!
Few pointers....
24 hour shop at the Stazione Centrale for late night snack on the way back to hotel.
Pick up the Hello Milano free newspaper at the hotel lobby. Carry the public transport map (in the middle) around with you like a bible. Priceless.
Ask about the local Saturday market, and pay a visit - even just to look at the HUGE array of fruit and veg. How many varieties of tomato are there, exactly?????
The hotel bar is pricey, but in the evening they will lay on a nice little array of 'tapas' to accompany that expensive drink. Worth paying that little bit extra for a nightcap.
In addition......yes, there are a few 'working ladies' on the main street, but they are not aggressive in any way, and did not trouble us at all (although my Mother-In-Law thought that one of them winked at my husband......and why wouldn't she? He's very handsome!). Seriously though, they were no problem, and wouldn't put me off staying there again...
...in fact, nothing would!

Weekend Break for the big game AC vs Inter
Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend, 2 single rooms were well presented and serviced to a high stansdard throughout the stay. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Bar area was a cosy and socialable area of the Hotel. Would recommend it as an ideal location for exploring. |

"One of Milan's Finest and Trendiest"
Hotel Mediolanum was VERY cute. Complete with impeccably clean restrooms, linens, and lobby. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, as well as the WONDERFUL breakfast buffet served. The staff was very friendly, the use of the hotel's computer was easy and painless, and the location is close (very close) to the train station, corso Buenos Aires, and other little places of interest.

"chic hotel..."
This was a great little find... thanks to trip advisor! We really loved it here and the staff were ultra friendly! It's really close to the train station and a walk to the city center! There is a sister hotel that you can use the gym at too which is great! The rooms were ultra funky and bright, clean and fresh! Breakfast was just okay.
As far as Milan goes though as a place to visit, there's not all that much to really see or do compaired to other places in Italy! The shopping was expensive and disappointing! I would recommend Verona! We just loved it there! It's got plenty to see and do and the shopping was wonderful!
